“Good Collection of Asian Arts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013

I was on a budget so did not get those earphone guide, otherwise I would've love to get one. The collection is very good and if you are free on a weekday, they have a free entrance day every month.

“1 day is not enough”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013

I went there with friends for the Terracotta soldiers exhibit and was blown away. Haven't been there in years when I was a kid and didn't appreciate the all the history and art. I was there all day and still didn't have enough time to really see everything. I'll be back!!

“Top class - Asian Art Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2013

World class museum...we just had the afternoon while our daughter was in a day-long workshop.

We got there right after it opened on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for an early lunch and practically had the place to ourselves...great little cafe inside the museum. Very reasonably priced.

The art and artifacts are tremendous...one could spend several days there.

There is an underground parking garage across the street. We recommend that, as the park and street parking across the street was fairly inundated with a makeshift homeless camp that day and we felt uncomfortable parking 3' away. You will get caught up in the museum displays anyway and you won't want to be running out to feed the meter.

Museum was spectacular...well worth any drive if you are in the City.

“Excellent Korean Art Exhibition”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

The "In Grand Style" exhibition featuring artworks and artifacts from the Joseon dynasty is worth a couple of hours of anybody's time. The use of technology throughout the exhibition coupled with the well presented artworks makes for an engaging, informative and enjoyable exhibition. It's on until January 2014

The permanent exhibitions were interesting but I didn't find them as exciting.

“a very fine place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2013

The museum is very rich. I loved it all but, in particular, I loved the "tea room" and the Japanese porcelain section.
The place has an aura of elegance, it's quiet and very well arranged. Really loved it.
