I know everyone comes here, and it is attractive in it's own right, but, for me, too many darn tourists and ticks-tacky shops If you like to stroll and people watch, it is perfect. Check out the seals lounging on the docks, stop in for some grub, but keep walking up the Embarcadero towards the baseball park. I find that stroll to be more enjoyable.

Very busy, lots of places to eat and drink. Weather was awesome. Would go back. Had some of the standard shops that you would find in any large city, and quite a few local shops.

Lots to see and do here. Tour company’s for every taste imaginable. Restaurants and bars everywhere. Wine tasting and wine bars are also here. Shops to sell you everything from crafts to t-shirts to puzzles and everything in between. Stop by Aquarium by the Bay to see over 20,000 sea creatures on display in their habitat. And then there is the entertainment. Buskers and performers from one end to the other. You will need a couple of days to explore it all. Very Enjoyable.

a tourist hot spot but worth the visit, lots of shops and restaurants - some good , some not so but still should be on your must do list. The highlight for me were the Sea Lions on an evening, calling, fighting and generally a fabulous spectacle.,

Really enjoyed a wander on Pier 39 during our time in SF. Seeing the sea lions was fab, they are free to come and go as they please (but obviously happy to be there) and we enjoyed watching them. Had a nice, warm pretzel looking out into the bay and then a look in the stores - mostly touristy gift shops, but reasonably priced and nice for a wander. Loved it.
