We booked a room at the Best Western Adams Inn in Qunicy, MA because of their advertised access to Boston, airport shuttle and shuttle to ferry.

1. We arrived at the Boston airport and the Adams Inn hotel shuttle brought us to hotel. The hotel front desk staff said, "Your room's not ready." I asked when it would be ready. Her reply was, "I don't know." Poor customer service.

We sat in the lobby for 1.5 hours with the front desk clerk never bothering to inform us if our room was ready. A woman was sitting in the lobby eating. She kept looking at us but never bothered to stop eating and ask us if we needed help. It turns out that she was the manager on duty! Poor customer service.

After 1.5 hours in the lobby, I phoned and was sent to the manager's voice mail twice. I left messages that we had appointments we were missing because we were not being allowed into our room and had sat in the lobby for over 1.5 hours.

After sitting in the lobby for 2 hours as the manager sat and ate her lunch, she asked if we needed "something." After letting us sit there for 2 hours, she got allowed us in our room. we had already missed our meeting with the Chamber of Commerce. Poor customer service.

2. I asked for the shuttle to the ferry which was clearly advertised online AND on 2 posters in the lobby. The clerk said, "We don't do that anymore." A few hours later, someone took white-out and crossed off the shuttle to the ferry from one of the posters. Poor customer service.

3. I phoned the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and complained about the attitude and poor service at the Adams Inn. the Adams inn manager then called me to say that she would not allow the shuttle service to the ferry but might be able to drop us off "somewhere in the vicinity" and we could "figure it out from there." Poor customer service.

4. I phoned the Chamber of Commerce and they arranged for our taxi to the ferry. They provided excellent treatment of visitors to their city. Unfortunately, even their good will was tainted when the manager of Adams inn phoned me on my cell phone and said, "I got a complaint from corporate concerning your stay. i don't know what your problem is. I bent over backward to assist you. Don't you remember?"

No, ma'am. I do not remember receiving any help from you whatsoever.

The Best Western Adams Inn is a decent hotel on the water with an above-average free breakfast. Unfortunately, their customer service is poor at best.

My boyfriend & I got stranded in Boston waiting to go to Jamaica. We stayed at the Adams Inn and in the middle of the night woke up to freezing cold and pitch black. No emergency lighting, no offer of extra blankets or any other compensation. We checked out in the middle of the night and were told by the rude front desk girl that we were not getting our money back. Horrible customer service. I'm suprised the place didn't catch fire because guests were roaming the halls with lighters lit.

Room Tip: Don't stay there unless you want to be treated poorly!!

We brought 10 high school students here along with adults. We used four rooms. The hotel is walking distance (half mile) from the T stop and we used that to get into Boston.

The staff is excellent - front desk and restaurant staff. They treated all of us so well and responded to all our needs - even changing a room when there was a problem with a bathroom.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant and was very good - nice choices off the simple "free" menu. You could also used your card to get $3 off any larger breakfast. Very good food.

The staff let us use a meeting room most mornings for a group meeting and that was very helpful.. We used two rollaway beds and received extra towels when requested.

The rooms fit our needs well. They are average size, but the small fridge was great.

Two problems that the staff could not fix - ownership needs to. In room interent was not strong and often disconnected. In the lobby it was strong and good.

The second is the computer in the lobby with a printer is awful. Out dated, slow and was unable to print my simple Word document.

But both were minor inconveniences and our stay went well.

Again the staff was great.

Stayed at this hotel after a cruise around Canada & New England. Check in is great, got there about 9:30AM and the staff safely stored our luggage until we got back from touring Boston about 4PM to check in.

The room was quite large with a great view of a river. The bed was comfortable BUT the recliner chair was the most comfortable I've ever sat in. Nearly slept in it that night. The bath room was clean and ample towels.

They have a free shuttle to the airport, as long as you don't have a 5:10AM flight like I did the shuttle would be great, the first shuttle leaves at 4AM. The shuttle would also take you to and pick you up at North Quincy train station- 4 stops and you are in downtown Boston South Station.

They have a restaurant on site which is really quite good and you get large portions. The kitchen is small and the service can be a bit slow.

The only negative is I could not figure out how to pack the recliner in my luggage.

Room Tip: Any room overlooking the river should be good.

We had a river view room, as requested. It was much nicer than expected, with a high white washed ceiling, and spacious, too.

Located near Logan Airport with complimentary pickup service, also transportation to Boston South Station, walking distance to the "T" Red Line metro station, and lower cost than downtown Boston hotels were reasons to choose this property.

Do not expect gourmet meals or fancy cocktails at their pub or small restaurant that serves as the breakfast room. It's OK in a pinch, if you don't want to walk up the street towards the T to a Panera or other place.

"Free" breakfasts were chosen from menus, or credit given for ordering from the pay menu. One waitress deserved our tip for outstanding service. The others seemed overwhelmed by the breakfast crowd serge.

Our drivers from the airport and to the South Station were friendly and informative. Some of the desk clerks could be a bit surly when giving information.

Access to the bridge across the Naponset River to the park on the other shore was easy for my daughter to take her morning run.

The hotel exterior is a good landmark viewed from the "T" to alert you to get off at the next stop. We tried calling the front desk one night for a ride from the station because we were told it was not safe to walk back in the dark, but kept getting thrown on to the Best Western central reservation service. Giving up, we walked back with no problems.

If ever in the area again, I would stay there.

Stayed here for 4 notes. Absolutely a great hotel. Restaurant is
fantastic; the food was exceptional! The outdoor patio/deck the
overlooking the river was terrific. Price was good, location great. Rooms are clean and well kept. It's not a five star by any stretch of the imagination, but would not hesitate to stay here again.
