“Not the old Fowler House”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Once famous for their steak tips we decided to head back to an old favorite for dinner. On first arrival we noticed the restaurants appearance had not changed in years yet still very clean. When seated by a impersonal hostess that acted like she did not want to be there, we noticed that the once nicely set tables were replaced with cheap one ply paper napkins and plastic cups, we were surprised not to see plastic forks and knives. We ordered the steak tips which were far from their famous tender tips, now small and tough. We also ordered a sea food dish which had a strong smell of bleach that had to be sent back. In return we order a pub pizza which was the only high point of our dinner, the pizza was excellent. If I were to go back again, I'd sit on the pub side for pizza and beer.

“Tired, Local Dining Spot & Bar”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

This place has been a Quincy staple for years. They expanded a few years ago by adding a separate dining area (it had primarily been a bar.) Offers booth and table seating. The benches were duct-taped in the booth we were seated in. Service was prompt but not especially friendly. They do offer a lot of things on their menu such as seafood, pasta dishes, meats and pizza. One of us ordered chicken Parmesan and the other had baked stuffed shrimp. The chicken was a hearty dish. The shrimp was served with a soggy baked potato and limp, overcooked mixed vegetables. The shrimp was delicious but, after tasting the vegetables, the rest were left on the plate. I think the place basically survives because they have regular patrons. Parking can definitely be a problem.
