“Nice stay”
Reviewed July 5, 2008

We had a nice stay at this property. It is, as others say, isolated in a business park at the top of a very big hill. It is located near the T station, but I would probably drive there and back to the hotel instead of trying to brave the hill. It is also a short and easy drive to the John Adams visitor center.

The bed was large and comfortable and was covered in as many pillows as we could have wanted. We did not dine on site and all of the staff members we spoke to were friendly.

Our only complaint was an air conditioning unit that was not properly functioning. It seems to be a theme everywhere we stay!

We arrived for a three night stay for a sightseeing vacation in Boston. Traveling during the Fourth of July, we expected crowds, but if the Marriott Quincy was overcrowded, you would never know it. Our room was quiet, comfortable & spotless. Our king bed felt just like being home, using quality linens and down pillows. We booked our room using Marriott.com and got a great rate of $125.night using our AAA discount. We ate in Kilroy's Irish Pub one evening and the food was expensive and ala carte. My pasta dish would have been good, but the pasta was undercooked. My husband had NY strip and he was happy with his meal, but his side Caesar salad was $8 extra.. The lobby has lemon/lime infused water available for free at the front desk and in the late afternoon, a tray of fresh baked, chocolate chip cookies is put out. When we had a change of plans and checked out a day early, it was no problem with Marriott. We were just charged for the two night we stayed and not for the 3rd night which we had reserved. There is a free computer room with 4/5 computers with free internet.

The Quincy Marriott is a nice Hotel. I am a Platinum Marriott Member and stay at this hotel often. I very seldom get the type of room I request. This hotel does not seem to honor their top level reward members request or needs. I am often disapppointed in the room assignment. If you are a Platinum member don't expect anything special.

Stayed here as part of tour. It's in a business park, a long way out of Boston, so is very isolated at night, and would not be suitible if you like evening strolls etc. However it is a lovely hotel and very clean and comfortable. Lovely lobby and bar. Great buffet breakfast (pay) and large really nice bedrooms and bathroom. A lovely place to stay as long as you realise where it is.

This is a really great Hotel, Clean, great staff and a shuttle Bus that will bring you down to the T or to the South Shore Plaza, so you could definitely stay here if you didn't have a car. The bedroom we stayed in was spacious with a nice view and a great shower. The Bar seemed to have a nice crowd in it and there is a computer room with about 10 computers in it to use for free. I will definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Quincy Marriott for a business trip and was impressed with the hotel overall. The check-in process was super quick and smooth, the room itself was quite clean and fresh (with a few minor housekeeping oversights). The room has a nice 40" LG flat panel TV, Bath and Body Works amenities, and all of the other items that you would expect. The one glaring item that was missing was an in-room safe, which is a huge oversight for a business traveler with a laptop, iPod, Blackberry, etc. I was on the concierge level in room 934 which happened to be right next to the concierge lounge kitchen area. Between the lounge attendants banging around and the elevator "ding" (nearby), it was a bit noisy, so would definitely change my room if I were to receive it. The concierge level rooms give you free Internet (instead of $10/day) and access to the lounge from 6:30am-10pm. The lounge offers free soft drinks (milk, soda, juices, water) all day and has a nice continental breakfast in the morning with bread, muffins, cereal, fruit, juices, oatmeal, and coffee. For those paying the extra $20 for the concierge level rooms, if you are going to use the Internet and need/want a juice and water and a muffin each day, it's totally worth it. At night the lounge has some hot and cold snacks as well as an honor bar with wine, beer, and mixed drinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The location is a bit limiting as there is not much nearby, but if yu are visiting one of the businesses nearby, the location cannot be beat. Overall a very nice hotel with a very good staff.
