The food is always delicious. Especially the Chicken Fradiavlo with fuscilli pasta. The portions are huge

We have been to Gennaro's Eatery many times before. Tonight was not one of the better ones. We were pleasantly surprised to get seated quickly considering it was right at the dinner hour. Our drink order was taken and bread and butter was delivered to the table right away.

We split a small salad which our waitress suggested was enough for two. She was correct. It was just the right amount. I ordered the chicken, ziti and broccoli in white wine sauce. It was a lot of ziti and liquid but did have a good amount of chicken and broccoli.

My husband ordered the chicken parm and ziti. He went with the small once again at the suggestion of the waitress. He was disappointed when he cut into it and found out that his chicken was veal. When we brought it to the waitress's attention she checked and said she did in fact order chicken for him. But wondered "did he like veal"? Not for nothing but if he wanted veal he would have ordered it to begin with.

She apologized and returned quickly with an average piece of chicken parm and once again a very large bowl of pasta. How about a little less pasta and a little more chicken parm?

The waitress's stood behind our booth for the better part of our meal "loudly discussing" who's turn it was to get the next party and whether children should be counted as a member of a party or not. We didn't need to hear their bickering.

All and all the food was average and we will think twice before returning to Gennaro's Eatery.

We like to get take-out from Gennaros and take it home for dinner. The portions are plentiful and there is enough to feed my husband and I. You also get some fresh homemade rolls and they are yummy. The owner is a sweetheart...he is so friendly and totally shows how proud he is of his restaurant. The prices are decent too.

Their food is good, but we always leave here saying...it's missing that certain something to make it great.
Ample potions, friendly waitstaff - but be warned - NO substitutions of any kind.

I have been a Gennaro's customer since 1999. It was a little tiny eatery where I would get $5 meatball subs and take out orders of lasagna on my way home from the train. Today, it encompasses the entire building - with a new dining room and bar area. The wait is still long on weekend nights, but well worth it. Quality is beyond comparison - and with the new half-size orders - the value is amazing. Even with a half order, have enough for lunch the next day. And the best - the deserts! Gerry outdoes himself! Monster size servings of cakes, tiaramisu, foot long eclairs, gigantic whoopie pies - all at prices you think were a misprint - either that or you were just transported back in time 30 years! Casual atmosphere and dress, all types of Italian food from subs, pizzas and the biggest calzones ever, to superior caccitories, picattas and saltimbocas. Do not miss Genarro's when you visit Quincy MA!
