“5 star excitement with the perfect guide, amazing ROCK and great surroundings!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time with Dick Chasse from AMG...our guide. He was smart, low key and incredibly encouraging, accomplished and informative. My girlfriend is a frequent climber and I am semi new.to this. Dick took us to several amazing climbing spots.along with great insider knowledge of the area....Having a guide got to the best spots without searching this very large and beautiful park hoping to access the best spots. We highly recommend AMG,and Dick our guide .I climbed to places I once only dreamed of...feeling completely safe and capable! Get a guide!

“Great family experience on Otter Cliffs”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

We spent a morning with our guide Alex on Otter Cliffs. My 13 and 15 year old children had a ball. Alex was a great guide and instructor and as a family, this experience was great for bonding. We felt safe and well taken care of the entire time and we would climb with this outfit again anytime. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

“Scary But Fun!!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We read great reviews on line about the school. We took our 2 boys (ages 13 and 15). It was really scary but our guide Summer was patient and competent. Although you do not go super high up on the cliff, it seems like it when you look down. Great family experience!

We like to tell folks that the goal is "not to rid your stomach of butterflies, but rather to make them fly in formation." Having a little fear is normal for folks doing a new activity. As you found out, usually when folks get out and see how climbing is done many of the perceived fears subside.

“Great climbing guides and places to climb”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We used Jessica and Alex and they were both excellent. Loved climbing Otter Cliffs which is a short drive from the store. The store itself is pleasantly well stocked and I picked up a new pair of climbing shoes at a great price. Jon the owner is super particular about the guides and safety. I'm wearing one of their tee shirt right now wishing I were there.

Great to hear that you enjoyed your climb and were able to also get some new climbing shoes. For others seeking info on TA please know that we give all climbing school clients a 15% off MSRP coupon for purchases in our store or website. This is good for a lifetime and includes all gear and clothing - climbing gear, apparel, footwear, tents, sleeping bags, etc.

“A wonderful day at S. Otter Cliffs!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

We took advantage of a Groupon to try this out on our trip to ANP! Eve was unbelievable. None of us had done outdoor climbing like this before, and she was calm and patient and always encouraging. All four of us (ranging from 46 to 8 years old) successfully navigated each ascent and felt so exhilarated by our accomplishments. She even sent us a wonderful note this afternoon thanking US when it is she who should get all the credit! This is our 5th time at Acadia and this was a special way to add to our memories. It was a beautiful day to watch the ocean as well and was well worth every moment! We highly recommend them!
