Loved our stay on the 4th floor of the Mizzentop. Room was immaculately cleaned and gorgeous. Amazing view and staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice location, close to town. Great pool area! Only complaint would be the sheets didn't fit the bed correctly. Everything else was wonderful!

We were very surprised to wake this morning with several Corvette's parked in the drive! Very enjoyable to be there when they were making their "annual trek!"
The day was glorious, the city was nowhere near summer level crowd -wise and overall, a fabulous time for my husband and I to visit! We had stayed intown before , last July, but the noise and claustraphobic feelings were too great.I am very pleased we tried this magnificent hotel! It was a short jaunt to the hub of the city and an enjoyable change of pace.
We were shuttled to the breakfast at the Rinehart Restaurant next door. We could have walked but the ride on the golf cart seemed like an experience we wanted to be apart of. People were having a ball on that thing with the handsome driver!
We both ordered the Cadillac breakfast, seemed appropriate since Cadillac Mt. is in nearby Acadia National Park! Our eggs were expertly prepared (not everyplace knows how or is willing to baste eggs!!) let alone so perfectly!! The fluffy pancakes with Maine Blueberries and a generous side of ham made our morning even more memorable! The view, the food, the cleanliness!!! Ahhh...this hotel cannot be beaten for the price! Thanks and "we shall return!"

My fiance and I stayed at the Blue Nose Inn for two nights following a week long trip traveling the East Coast. For the money, we couldn't have found a nicer place. We booked through skoosh.com - via kayak.com - for around $99 a night during early season. As you drive into Bar Harbor you see Inns and cottages - one after the other, and they look semi-decent, but the second you pull up the drive for Blue Nose you definitely get the resort feel. We did not stay in the main building - in the building just across the parking lot, but with a great view overlooking the harbor. Just plain beauty. Rooms came equipped with an oversized, leather massage chair (like those from Sharper Image), an amazing mattress, dvd player, refridgerator, scale in the bathroom, iron & board. It's a short (very short) drive into the downtown area and a rock's throw away from Acadia National Park. They offer breakfast in the rooms (cold food only) so we walked (though I would suggest driving to anyone who doesn't want to walk uphill for a half mile) to the restaurant with a great view overlooking the harbor. Breakfast though was less than appealing - cold, stale food that is incredibly overpriced for the area. Overall though - a great stay!

The absolute best feature of this hotel is the pianist, Bill Trowell, who performs in the hotel's Great Room every night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Bill's repertoire is limitless and his friendly personality makes the Great Room a warm and comfortable place to listen to great music. There is no better way to relax each night. The ambiance in the Great Room is reminiscent of more romantic times. You won't find this anywhere else in the country. If you go to the Bluenose, which I recommend you do, you must not miss Bill. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed in this hotel during the low season. The room had a balcony that overlooked the bay. The room was very nice, very large, fireplace and extremely clean. We had dinner at the restaurant on the last night they were open for the season. The service was outstanding and the food very good. For the past three years we have bene traveling to New England close to the end of the fall season when we find prices drop dramatically for rooms. Parkign free. Beautiful lounge on first floor. Breakfast was at a different restaurant on the hill where we found great scenic views. Our room included a bus ride around Acadia Narional Park. That was very good.

What a view! Frenchman's Bay was excellent. The fireplace wasn't needed, but helped the anniversary ambiance. First class establishment. We'll be back.

Had a beautiful view and lovely room. Sat on the balcony, drank champagne and watched the sunset. We were on the 4th floor Mizzentop. Great rate for the amenities and view of Frenchman's Bay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
