We stayed four nights at the Hampton Inn in Bar Harbor. The property is new and fresh. The breakfasts were the best we've ever had at a hotel with complimentary breakfasts. The food was fresh and delicious with a good variety. Staff was all wonderful and pleasant. Pool and hot tub were clean. Not warm enough to check it out, but the outdoor pool looked inviting. We will stay here again. More

Great hotel. Fantastic pastries at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. It is veryvery clean and bright hotel like it's brand new. Great view of town and water from ocean side. We couldn't be happier with our stay. Best hotel on our trip.

I have to say that I don't usually recommend "chain" hotels, especially in places like Bar Harbor, where there are so many lovely inns and cottages. But this Hampton Inn is truly lovely. The rooms are new and spacious (great beds and shower), with views of the mountains or the ocean. The breakfast (included) is nice, although not many entree choices for those of us who stay away from pig products. The location is only a couple of minutes (walk) from downtown and the park (drive). But the best part of the hotel was the staff. Once of the reasons we chose this hotel was that it has a Tesla charger. Although the desk clerk did not know about it when we checked in, he got the manager, Katie, who took it out of the shed near the pool and hooked it up for me. Not only that, but she put an orange cone in the spot closest to the charger so that when we returned to the hotel after dinner, no one would be in that spot, despite the fact that hotel was nearly full. And they left the charger there for our entire stay. When I thanked them, they said "you're welcome," but the tone was that it's all in a day's work. Even the housekeeping people are wonderful. Excellent stay. Will definitely stay here again.

Being open for only 6 months brings a few very unique challenges, especially the need to hire a new TEAM each season. I commend 'leadership' for hiring and training an incredible TEAM for the 2017 season, and I know each team member is here in Maine, not only for the opportunity for seasonal work, but also to experience for themselves ALL that our guests come to see and do. Newish hotel - facilities clean and well maintained. It is convenient to Bar Harbor - short drive. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly - with the exception of a young man in the late afternoon - he talked down to us when we asked for the two water bottles that we usually receive when checking in for the night. The breakfast room is well stocked and hot items were nice and hot. The coffee is not the usual good coffee we have had at other Hampton Inns - it tasted weak. The rooms had very comfortable beds and furniture. There was a nice refrigerator but no microwave - which we missed. We enjoyed the fitness room - wish it opened earlier.

This looks and feels like a brand new hotel, and is a beautiful place! The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and professional and provided great service. Location is perfect, very close to downtown, the waterfront, and Acadia National Park. Staying in Bar Harbor can be expensive, but the Hampton Inn offered great value! Thank you Hampton Inn Bar Harbor for a great experience!!

Bar Harbor offers many places to stay from B &Bs to quaint older inns and brand new hotels that look old and quaint and all are walking distance to everything in the quaint village that is Bar Harbor -the Hampton by Hilton is a bit outside the village and seems brand new. Even if not brand new it looks it - it gleams. It's not lavish but is light-filled and lightly decorated - soft colors in abundance and gracious service in equal abundance.
This Hampton by Hilton clearly wants you to feel comfortable and at home here. Breakfast is similar to other Hamptons but this one sometimes has chocolate croissants and always has cookies, coffee and tea available. It also has a small indoor play area for young children as well as indoor and outdoor pools and plenty of parking.
If you want to stay in the village you wouldn't stay here - but I'd stay here the next time and every time I come to Bar Harbor.
