The proximity to Acadia national Park is fantastic. There's a very nice pool and hot tub located here. Breakfast was excellent. Our room was spacious. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if in the area. The local bus loops past here.

Thank You for sharing your experience at Hampton Bar Harbor. Sounds like you might have had 'kids' along .. . hope they enjoyed our property as well! Last season was exceptionally busy, and with LOTS of happy guests, as we all celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of Acadia National Park. We are again looking forward to another record year, and hope to welcome you back once we open again in the Spring.

with Thanks!

I have stayed in 4 different hotels in Bar Harbor, and this year we tried this one. It is by far, the best Bar Harbor has to offer. We stayed in the Deluxe water view room and the view was the best I have had in BH. The delux room comes with a comfy and nicely appointed deck, on which to sit to enjoy it. The room was huge, with every amenity. The staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent and well stocked. Recommend this be your first choice in BH. Much better than Bar Harbor Inn, The Harborside, or the Bluenose.

Room tip: Get the deluxe waterfront view room

Oh my gosh .. . this review is amazing ! !! Thank You so very much for sharing your perspective with regard to your stay at Hampton Bar Harbor. We TRULY do care about the the cleanliness of the hotel, and always strive to provide a joyful guest experience. The particular room where you stayed was a balcony/studio (2Q + sleep sofa) of which we only have 9, and certainly one of the very best views in Bar Harbor overlooking Frenchman Bay and the Porcupine Islands. Thank You for this wonderful review and 'thumbs up' recommendation. Hope you will visit again.

Though you are a away from the action in town, this Hampton Inn property is a wonderful place to experience a relaxing vacation in Bar Harbor. This is an immaculate and beautiful treasure in the HI chain. The rooms are spacious and the environment, sitting on a forested hill top, moves the experience up a notch to a luxury experience. The staff are fantastic, helping us arrange an additional night at the last minute. Be sure to have your map app working when you arrive as the hotel can be a challenge to find if you are unfamiliar with the area.

Thank You for taking the time to share your experience at Hampton Bar Harbor. It is such a pleasant surprise to get notice of a new review, especially now that we are closed for the winter months. I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed our property, and it's location overlooking Frenchman Bay and the mountains of Acadia. Indeed, it can be a bit difficult to find us, with NO signage on the main road coming into Bar Harbor. Unfortunately off premise signage is not allowed; only DOT signs. We closed for the season on November 1st and still have staff scrubbing and cleaning every nook and cranny! :) Cleanliness and Friendliness are top priorities! Thank You for staying with us and hope to welcome you back another time.

When we drove up that hill and saw this Hotel we definitely were in awe. The hotel itself had only been open for four months so it still had the newness odor. The front
desk employees were so kind and sweet and gave us maps and tourist places to visit. As everyone has already noted it was very close to Acadia Pk, and we had a view
of Cadillac Mountain from our room...

Room tip: The rooms w/the balconies had the nicest views and rooms.

The Hampton Inn, Bar Harbor, is on a beautiful piece of property, very close to the Ocean, you can choose a room with ocean view, minutes away from Acadia National Park. Our room was exceptionally clean and very quiet, the beds were very comfortable. The people running the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We choose Hampton Inn because we are never disappointed!

Thank You for choosing Hampton Bar Harbor and for sharing your experience. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed our property, it's location and views .. . I do agree, it is a very special and beautiful property, and is situated on the highest private hilltop location in Bar Harbor and overlooking Frenchman Bay, the Porcupine Islands, and the mountains of Acadia. The hotel was first opened for the 2015 season and is now closed again until Spring 2017. The location is peaceful, it's a great spot to see a spectacular sunrise over the islands, and the hotel is only about a mile into town or to the waters edge. Please let us welcome you again.
