We waited for about 20 minutes to get a table and were really looking forward to a romantic meal on our honeymoon. The atmosphere in the restaurant was a bit noisy and busy and, without any background music playing, it felt a bit like a canteen rather than a place for a romantic meal. The restaurant also felt a bit stuffy and hot (and it's very unusual for us to feel hot as we like the heat!)
The gnocchi starter was very oily and the potato dumplings tasted as though they had been fried in the same oil which had been frying everything else that the restaurant was serving that week. One of our main courses was not as described. The panini was served on greasy fried bread rather than on fresh Italian ciabatta. The pasta main course was swimming in oil also. We sent back the panini as it was too oily to eat and, to the restaurants credit, we were offered a complimentary dessert. Unfortunately, our evening felt ruined by that point and we just wanted to leave. So we declined the offer for a complimentary dessert and left to find somewhere else to eat.
