On our afternoon tour our guide was very knowledgable. In a previous visit to Bar Harbor we took the kayak tour out of Bar Harbor. It was nice but had an entirely different feel than this one. Our guide, Mike, provided very helpful education on the kayak and gear (we are not kayakers). I did not get wet at all on this tour. I was soaked after the last. Our tour was relaxed and calming. We saw seals, cormorants, eagles, and ospreys. We also saw a school of mackerel stirring up the water. The tour does not guarantee wildlife spottings and they are very respectful of the animals and their environment. Even beyond our wildlife sightings our guide imparted lots of facts about the island, it's history/formation, etc., so that later when we were hiking we would see things with some knowledge and perspective. I had gotten sea sick on a ferry a couple of days before (hurricanes passing by to chop up the water) but I had NO problems in the kayak. I would highly recommend this tour.
