Perfect location for a stop over near the National Park. Nice quiet side road within 2 minutes walk of the town centre. The Inn is clean and comfortable with large rooms furnished in a traditional style . Breakfasts are plentiful with a choice of fare.
Inn Keeper lent us a CD for our tour of the Park which was very helpful.

Room Tip: Some have open fires and porch. Avoid ground floor room next to dining room.

This was our first visit to The Mosely Cottage Inn and Town Motel and we were very happy with our experience. We stayed in the motel wing. It was quiet (very important to us) and off the main street in busy Bar Harbor, yet within easy walking distance of the Bar Harbor Whale Watch, great places to eat, and the downtown shops. There is a charming garden area with Adirondack chairs and a nearby bird feeder- perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The front desk was very helpful in recommending good places for dinner. We'll definitely go back!

Room Tip: We were on the top floor, which was very quiet.

There are two types of lodging on this property, a B&B in a large former home and, next door, a two-story renovated motel. My wife and I stayed in the motel two nights (once on the first and once on the second floor) and found our rooms to be very clean, ample in size, comfortable, and entirely satisfactory. Each room had a good shower, a small refrigerator, a Kurig coffee maker, TV, and very comfortable bed. The owners have done a fine job updating and maintaining this older-style motel (but were limited, probably, by the original construction such as thin ceilings between floors). The grounds are pretty and well maintained. The property is on a quiet residential street but is just a 5 or 10 min walk to good restaurants, shops, the base for the free buses to Acadia NP and other places on MDI, and the wonderful Shore Path. The nice folks at the front desk (located in the B&B inn) were exceptionally helpful in providing specific and informed suggestions about where to eat and what to do in the area. We knew that a room at the motel did not come with breakfast at the B&B inn, and, indeed, we were looking forward to sampling breakfasts in some of the nice Bar Harbor restaurants. (We had an especially good breakfast at the Cafe This Way.)
In all, we were entirely satisfied with our stay in the Moseley Town Motel--satisfactory room, terrific location, and helpful staff. We will certainly try to stay there again if we return to Bar Harbor.

Room Tip: To avoid through-the-ceiling noise, get a room on the second floor. But you will climb stairs.

This was our first time on Bar Harbor from Southern California. We enjoyed this B&B immensely! The owners and staf were so friendly without being intrusive. We booked in June, stayed two nights and had to change rooms because they booked up so quickly. That should speak volumes about the popularity of this property. It's hugh rooms boast of cove molding, big windows, hardwood floors and beds that are so comfy you just want to curl up in them all day. The location is perfect and the warm chocolate chip cookies are a special treat for sure. The breakfasts are to die for. Cudos to the pastry chef! We have stayed in B&B's all over the country and I have to say that this was the best. Every little detail was considered for a stay that was very memorable. Cudos to our chamber maid who kept everything spotless. If you are going to Bar Harbor...this is the place!

Room Tip: You can't get a bad room anywhere in the house!

Bar Harbor, Maine is an excellent vacation location with Acadia National Park, the Atlantic seashore, great restaurants, and interesting shops; however, it can become very busy when several cruise ships drop anchor in the harbor.

The Mosley Cottage Inn offers a quiet refuge from the crowds. It is a very short walk from the center of Bar Harbor, down a quiet side street, and is a "world within a world". I would highly recommend the Jordan Pond Room with its private balcony and fireplace. The rooms are cleaned VERY well and offer a comfortable living environment. The breakfasts are exceptional and made to order. My wife and I particularly liked having wine, at the end of a full day, on the large front porch.

As travelers, we often find hotels & inns that we enjoy; however, most do not impress us enough to write a review. The Mosley Cottage Inn is definitely a keeper!

It has been almost 40 years since our last trip to Bar Harbor. The Moseley was a great experience. Pam greeted us and made us feel right at home. The Jordon Pond room was spectacular. The breakfast could not have been better and the Lady serving made us feel like friends. Scones! Location was perfect; quiet but close to town and shore walk. We felt totally relaxed. This is what all other B&B's will been judged by.

We visited Bar Harbor last august. The town motel was the perfect solution for our group of 13 people, 3 families. Both, cottage and motel, close (steps) to the town centre. The staff was nice with us and helpedin any case. The breakfast the can arrange also for motel town guests is superbe, great pan-cakes! We do not know if we will have the chance to visit again Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (great destination!) but Moseley cottage inn & town motel will be our place to stay.
