I am a kind reviewer, but the food here was not excellent. The bacon used in their dishes is the pre-cooked "ready heat" microwave bacon. No wonder our food was ready in 5 minutes. Waaaaaaaay too much nostalgic memorabilia. It's like a museum in a church that happens to serve sub par food. The reason I agreed to eat there was that they had a few beers that I like on tap. Sam Adams Lager and Seasonal, and a few other decent beers, but I felt disappointed that we picked this restaurant. The service staff were very kind and accommodating. But unripe avocado, flabby microwave bacon and lackluster flavor dampened my dining experience. Sorry 66, but revamp your prep methods and you'll have a much better reception. Saving time is no reason to sacrifice quality.

We gave this place a walk-in, browse the menu and feel the vibe before investing our hard earned appetite for lunch.

Nothing appealed--the '50s Americana décor is too cliché and over-the-top to be anything but a bother.

No one welcomed us and the scant few tables of diners looked bored and seemed waiting for something to happen.

Walking back into the fresh Maine air was so nice.

While I am unsure of why a you would review a business you just happened to walk by and did not experience, I would like to take a moment to say that not all restaurants appeal to all types of customers. Many people find our decor very fun, historic and informational, as you can see from previous reviews, while others may walk by and decide it is not the atmosphere they are looking for. I welcome your review should you ever actual choose to dine at our restaurant, but this review is simply a case of judging a book by it's cover.

The service was very good, but they weren't too busy at the off hour. Food was reminiscent of the 50s. Variety of selections.

We dropped by late September 6, 2013, and had a great burger and fries, delicious butternut soup too. Saw other delicious looking food being served. Good service. Look for it as it is set back off the street. It is worth the effort.

food was standard American fare...lots of tourists, not bad food though...pricing was a little more than what we expected, but its a tourist town, what can you do? comfort food and drinks, lovely and unique décor inside the building
