We happened to be on the last puffin cruise of the season. Saw one puffin. However, the boat is small enough to see from all sides. Other sea birds observed: bald eagles, Northern gannets, common eiders, double breasted cormorants, common terns, laughing and grey gulls. Saw seals on the way back. Trip to island lighthouse was about one hour. Ample free parking. Take a wind breaker and binoculars. You can be surprised by the wind-chill difference from land.
