A must for your Acadia Bar Harbor visit, especially if you have young kids (not younger than 2). Diver Ed, Captain Evil and the crew were great! Informative funny and welcoming. Excellent experience for the whole family!

Your search is over! This is the one you need to book now! Stop reading, your wasting time. Kids 6&9 loved it. Adults ??&?? Learned a lot. Ed and crew were friendly and talkative. Beautiful cruise through the islands to Ed's favorite stop. Fun activity as described and on the way back we saw harbor porpoise. I'm wasting my time typing this because you are busy booking this anyway. Enjoy.

Great experience for the kids, not only did they like to learn about the sea animals, Diver Ed made them fascinated with scuba diving. The kids loved being able to touch the sea animals, they were particularly fascinated with the scallops, sea urchins and sea stars. This was a great experience for all ages. Our kids, age 3 and 5 loved touching he sea animals but there were 10 and 12 year olds right next to them. And, the atmosphere was so engaging the kids wanted to know about everything from the dive gear, the boat, the dogs on the boat, the animals, etc. Fantastic experience!

This tour goes out rain or shine. It is great for kids. We took the three hour tour which included a park ranger. I would definitely recommend the three hour tour over the two hour. Even the smaller kids on the tour were entertained the entire time. You meet at the whale skull at the College of the Atlantic (West Street and Eden). There is plenty of parking. You can go inside and look at the exhibits in the Museum of Natural History. Restrooms are available. You then meet Diver Ed’s wife, Captain Evil, who walks you down to the Starfish Enterprise just a short walk away. One of two Newfoundlands demonstrates the proper way to wear a life jacket, and you are off. Diver Ed who is a charismatic character picks a place to dive and shows you the undersea wonders with his diving buddy, Little Ed (Lego figure). He brings up a large assortment of sea creatures in his while mesh bag that are then put in tanks on board the ship. The park ranger, Diver Ed and Captain Evil show all the sea creatures. Handling them is encouraged. This is a great rainy day activity.

We went to Bar Harbor recently, having never been there before we really relied on trip advisor and other resources to plan our vacation. Diver Ed's Div In theater was our favorite. We have four children ages 6-12. All 4 kids loved it! Diver Ed knows how to capture his audience while educating them. We all laughed and learned so much. It is a great activity for any kind of weather...we were there on a cold and rainy day and loved it!
