We stayed at the Oceanview hotel at first, but didn't feel very comfortable with the room and the hike up to the top of the hill, so we changed to the Bayview for the next two nights we were in Guam.

It was the best decision we have ever made. Since we made the reservation only the night before, the reception did not have our information when we transferred there the next morning. This did not deter the wonderful manager Jose from immediately calling housekeeping to get us a room ready, at 10am, way ahead of check-in time. The first room the housekeeper suggested, Jose immediately remembered it was due for a maintenance, and asked her to get us a room that's functioning properly - this really impressed us that he knows the rooms well and only provides guests with well-kept rooms.

The room was much nicer, cleaner, and we got a lovely view of the Tumon bay from our balcony. There were the usual amenities you can expect, hair dryer, mini-fridge, safe, and also a microwave, which we found very useful. The free internet was definitely appreciated too. Oh, there's also a laundry room on the 2nd level that you can do your washing for 1.50USD and dry your washing for another 1.50USD. In short, we had everything we needed for our stay!

The location of the hotel is pretty good, a 5-minute walk to the center of the shopping district, and 2 minutes walk to the nearest shuttle bus services. There are also some restaurants near the bus stop, and a circle-K which you can buy drinks/snacks from. We bought a 20USD 5-day Red Guahan pass, which allows you to ride on any Red Guahan shuttle service except for the Two Lovers Point route, which you can purchase a round-trip + entrance fee for 7USD. It seems that there is another bus service, Ciao, which actually stops at the hotel, so you might want to check that out too.

For the money we paid for, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. It's a wonderful hotel, with all the necessities and exceptional service staff. Unless you expect the Ritz, you will be more than comfortable staying here. I already miss staying there!

i stayed at ohana bayview for two nights last october 2010. on the first night, i mostly stayed on the left side of the bed and woke up feeling a little itchy. on the second night, i didn't go to sleep as we would have to leave by 3:30am for the airport. when we arrived a little after midnight, we did some packing and i settled on the right side of the bed to do some reading before our pick-up. when i got home to the philippines 10 hours later, i got the shock of my life! my body was totally covered in bedbug bites!!!! only my face was saved from the bites. this is one horror story that i wouldn't want other travelers to experience.
