Located in a strategic location with helpful front desk staff and late check-out time (12 noon). However the rooms we stayed were run down with rusty bathtubs, damaged taps and cracks on the toilet walls.

Air-conditioning units in the rooms produced weird noises when the temperature was turned up. No air-conditioning along corridors, no wireless internet facility nor breakfast which was frustrating and ended up having Subway on the first morning in Guam having checked in at 1:30am. Fortunately, the stay was only a brief one.

My and my wife stayed here during the Christmas season and i really liked this place. The rooms were definitely spacious and the price was extremely affordable. Guam may be a small island but the shopping/tourist area is even smaller. Pacific Bay Hotel is right smack in the middle of the shopping district which makes it easy to go anywhere at anytime. It's also a 2 minute walk from the beach! Moreover, there is an AMAZING restaurant on the first floor called Churrasco (Brazillian bbq). The next time i go back to Guam I'm definitely booking this hotel.

The Pacific Bay Hotel is right in the middle of the shopping district on Guam. As such it's
marketed as an affordable alternative to Hilton, Marriott, and Westin, which it is. As an older hotel, entirely constructed of concrete, it is solid. It offers VERY basic accommodations, and the staff really works hard to keep the place very clean. The hotel lacks amenities such as nice toiletries, free internet, washcloths, and there is no decent breakfast within a mile! But it is basic lodging for those who want to save their money for shopping. The highlight is the restaurant CHURRASCO located in the ground level, which is one of the BEST dining spots
on Guam. Bottom line - location, location, location. Staff tried SO hard to make my stay pleasant.

Room Tip: All rooms get some roadway noise, but the ones facing NORTH seem quietest.

Top two reasons to visit Guam: beach and shopping. If you want to save more money for shopping, then this hotel is definitely for you.

The location is excellent. If you like to walk a lot, you can walk the whole stretch of San Vitores Road (the high-end shopping centres & five-star hotels are here like DFS, Tumon Sands Plaza etc). You will see a lot of Japanese tourists in this area.
If you want to enjoy the beach, you can also head to Tumon Beach just at the back of Holiday Resort Guam/ Fiesta Hotel.

Room experience is average. If you just need a place to sleep-in and you'll be out all day, its not bad. But if you're looking for a room to chill and relax... it will definitely not give you the resort-feeling.

You won't have any problem with finding places to eat as there are a couple of restaurants nearby. I especially liked Churassco located at the ground floor of the hotel. It is an all-you-can-eat buffet Brazilian style... so if you're a lover of meat, you'll love Churassco.

However, if you are going to shop in Guam Premium Outlets (GPO) or Ross or Micronesia Mall (where Macy's is), then you will need transport to go there from the hotel. Cabs are quite expensive and difficult to get in Guam, so I suggest you ride the tourist bus/hop on hop off buses that takes you to several locations already. You have the option to choose different passes (1 day/ 3days etc.) according to your duration of stay. You may inquire from the hotel lobby about this.

Room Tip: There are rooms with a view of Tumon beach/ San Vitores Road.

First the bad...carpet wasn't very comfortable to walk around bare foot on. The towels didn't were ok'd and worn down. Rust in the bathroom and many cracks on the walls. Even caught a gecko one time. The tv and air-conditioning made very obnoxious sounds.

The good..very affordable and the staff were laid back and helpful. Walking distance to wherever u want to go on tumor bay. Had all the basic needs, air-conditioning, nice, strong shower, fridge, pool and decent beds.

If u need a place to crash after u spend all day on the beach, this is it. Wake up early and head back to the beach. It worked out fine for us! Just beware.

Pacific bay hotel

(Good)
Near the main street of Tumon area
Easy access to Burger King, Subway, Brazilian Restaurant(looks nice), some Chinese foods and ABC store.
It looks old at night time but normal at day time.
The room is standard facility, require $5 deposit hair dryer, coin laundry, looks clean pool, no coffee maker. $8 for 1hour wifi at room, $15 for 24 hour.
Korean Japanese speakers (upper average) are available at her shift time.
Bed making is everyday and OK
Sufficient hot water and acceptable toilet.

(Not good)
Thin wall and door ( Noise leaky from next room always )
Noisy touting guy is in front door always. Use back door near the connected Brazilian restaurant.
Wifi should be free.
No timer with air condition.
Poor amenities.( poor soap and shampoo only) Should bring all of yours.
Room shoes is must.
Better if I can open the window.
Better if bed is semi-double size and more comfy.

(Repeat?)
Only if no other choices and only for budget travelers.
