“Not bad for the price and service was good”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We arrived on an early flight to Guam and were booked in to the Hilton, but unfortunately they were unable to provide an early check in, but called around to some other hotels close by. We ended up at the Ramada and although the rooms weren't as nice as the Hilton, they were less than half the price and the service was far superior.

The welcome we got when we checked in was lovely and we really felt looked after. it was about 5.00am yet the staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

It's away from the beach, so wouldn't be my choice of hotel, but I do think the Hilton staff, could learn some lessons on service from the staff here.

This is the formerly Imperial hotel in Tamuning. Stayed for 2 nights. Room with sofa, ref, tv and microwave. Bed quite stiff. A steak restaurant at the lobby called Melo is ok and on the other side the cafe serving breakfasts, lunch and dinner at fairly reasonable prices. There is a convenience store also at the lobby but prices are bloated. There is a convenience store just outside the hotel's right side. Vietnamese restaurant Bamboo is also adjacent to the convenience store. There is a regular complimentary shuttle service to and from the Airport as well as to the Duty free Galleria in the town. Hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport. Complimentary wifi at the rooms and lobby. Staff is very friendly and accommodating though the hotel has seen better days.

As others have said its a good transit hotel if you can get a decent rate. I didn't mind paying an extra $25 for late check out.
I found the layout of the room a little awkward, couldn't watch tv from the room's desk/lounge area where one had to sit to access the free wifi.
It was clean, and not a bad room otherwise though.
Transport driver was very friendly and helpful.
I ate at the Vietnamese restaurant next door which was okay.
Would go back but think I prefer the Days Inn for same price range or Harmon Loop for budget option.

The hotel is priced within range, small , a little far from the main Tumon area. Don't walk, drive. Inaddition, be mindful of their check in time of 3pm. If you try to check in early (12pm to 2pm) they will charge you $25.00 on top of the room rate. Also if you try to cancel after 24 hours they will will charge you for a full day.

Over all 2 stars...

For the traveller making a stopover in Guam or the business man looking for a base not far from the urban center and the airport, the Ramada Hotel and Suites is a good choice. The rooms in the hotel are large, most with an entry area that has a couch, a coffee table and a work table with chair and a sleeping area with the bath between the two. Rooms offer a microwave, refrigerator, coffee and tea. The large flat screen TV offers a very good selection of movies, news and general interest channels. Staff was friendly, helpful and there were no hassles with the bill. Sounds great, why not five stars? First of all, there is not much of interest right around it. It is not really close to shopping or major business areas, it is pretty far from the water, and the two restaurants in the hotel are not very exciting though the limited menu of the steakhouse did have good steaks and some seafood for a reasonable price. The swimming pool is not very nice and the neighborhood is semi-industrial so there is no view. Its value, at least to me, is as a comfortable and not expensive base to work from using a rental car to get around -- a car is pretty much needed any place the business man sleeps unless the business is with the hotel itself. There is free transport to and from the airport and for people staying longer times, the hotel vehicle does make scheduled trips to the big Duty Free Shop and other high traffic areas of Guam. A 20 minute walk gets you to a small shopping center, GPO, and a little longer walk in the other direction gets you to Micronesia Mall, one of the two large shopping malls on Guam. To sum up, I like the rooms, I like the price. The location is good if you need to get to the airport quickly but otherwise a bit out of the way.

Room Tip: Don't see much difference. No road noise in any room (no rooms on the road side of the hotel).

My sister, cousin and I (including our kids) planned a weekend stay at Ramada ...since Ramada was having a special we took thee opportunity to try a different hotel...on the phone with the receptionist she made it sound like the place was very well kept and insured us of the pool. As we arrived i told the children to sit in the lobby while we had checked in and they did. The manager happen to be in the lobby and asked us if ALL of the children will be occupying the pool..we say yes..five minutes later the maintenance worker comes over and says oh the pool is not working...they have no communication skills with their fellow workers.. as I entered my room it was smelt of musty odors as the room hasn't been occupied...the refrigerator was infested with cockroaches and we found opened cookies under our bed from god knows when..their rating SUCKS

Once again the people of Guam are nice. This hotel however needs to be fumigated badly. I opened the door to my room filling the heat rush out as I went inside. The room had a strange smell I could place. I put the key card in the slot to turn on the lights and power. After that I went straight to the remote for the AC. When I pressed the button to turn on the unit at least five roaches flew out AC unit. And I kept finding them for the remainder of my short stay. I could not recommend this hotel. Some people have bad allergic reactions to roaches. After seeing the room, I think it was over priced.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel.
