free wifi in the rooms now for registered guests. make sure you get the password info from the front desk. its about time. i usually paid the 24 hr block for a hard wire connection.

the free wifi is decent for emails and browsing the web. you tube and dwlnds are pretty slow. glad to see the Management throwing this in. Longtime customer, will probably continue to be.

rooms are the same, decent. cable is ok, staff is very good.

Room Tip: stay on the east side away from the bar area, it can get noisy on the weekends.

We both found Guam (maybe not surprisingly) a little more Americanised than Pacific Ocean paradise so maybe our review is unfair, however this is how we felt. Our first stay in Guam (travelling to Yap) was in the Royal Orchard which we found horrible so we stayed at the Santa Fe on the way back for 3 days. Arrived early am and was disappointing to see no provision made for someone wanting to drink or eat after flight and early morning landing. We had no water, having just landed and non was supplied, all restaurants and shops in the hotel were closed. We directed, unceremoniously, to a 24 hour supermarket 10 mins away, good choice of goods but expensive (however Guam seemed expensive). We slept ok until constant knocking at the door woke us and we got up to ask the room cleaner to bugger off! View from room not bad (looking over restaurant and empty lot next door) but big slab of concrete built as either part of structure or decor only to be admired from outside obscured it somewhat). Band on Friday night was quite loud, slept with tv on low. (Us - American adverts! fast food or loose wieght, on every 3 mins for 5 mins). No room service at all. Small shop to buy a fridge magnet in. Microwave and a hot pot with lead too short to reach plug, fridge warm, tv not working. Maintainance man came and sorted it.

The small restaurant by the beach was quiet a nice spot, some noise from jet skiing and the music from the restaurant. Food was very plastic, calorific and Enumbered. But far better than the Royal Orchid. The view from the room was a car park! Anytime we wanted a taxi we had to take a short walk to the next hotel, the Onward, not far but be aware. The staff had little clue about tours or anything much. We went to 2 Malls, Micronesia, which is quite a way from town (1 hour on the tourist bus - 4 usd per day pp, hotels will charge you more but you can buy on the bus) and didn't have much except bling, did have a nice coffee shop - Hawaain. We also went to the GPO, closer, bus is quick. We went to the cinema there, which was ok - all food plastic again and seats quite uncomfortable. A nice little restaurant in the food hall - the wraps were delicious and a nice little coffee shop next door. Lots of tours in Guam are either well organised or a sausage factory, depending on your view. The Santa Fe could not help us with a dolphin viewing trip but the Onward were very helpful and did. The trip was well organised and enjoyable, saw no dolphins but boat trip was good and would rather that than dolphins be in an aquarium. Did make us laugh though that we got a T-shirt, free drink and boat ride for 98 usd!

Beach at Santa Fe quite nice, can see the sunset through an industrial cloud of smoke in the distance. Beach clean, people running and walking their dogs. Pleasant.

Overall would not wish to stay in Guam but if had to and didn't want to pay extortionate prices for unimpressive rooms (unimpressive as reported by Trip Advisor reviewers) would probably stay here again and just bring a good book......

My Boyfriend and i stayed here for the price and the fact he had 2 coworkers in the past year stay here.
We arrived abotu 1am and went to get our car and the rep at the airport was too tired to bother looking us up and we were too tired to argue at that point so we paid for a cab to the hotel (in hindsight glad we did since we it was so late and had traveled for 24hours). Upon arrival the front desk was very helpful and said we should have had a car available and we would clear up in the AM. We arrived in our "king" room to 2 twin beds :( but made due for the night.
When we woke we were in awe of our oceanside view and the beauty of it all!
After showering we headed down to the front desk to resolve the bed and car issues. Hertz sent someone to get us to take care of the car and they assured we would have a king bed that night (we did).

The hotel is VERY outdated in may ways.could use new carpet, new tv, alarm clocks and just overall a good cleaning. On our balcony was an empty wine bottle from previous guests. I was glad i had slippers to wear. For the Superbowl we headed to the bar and watched on an updated tv and had drinks and apps with a couple locals.
The pool area is beautiful but the chairs do need a good cleaning (always had a towel on chair) and a few missing tiles in the pool but overall pool very quiet and view again was beautiful.
with the beach right there you could walk and enjoy the sunsets and beautiful water. there is an island located near the hotel and you can walk out to it and highly reccomend you do (get water shoes).
We never had a prolem with staff, all that we had encounters with were pleasant and attentive.Wifi was kind of a pain but we told ourselves we were there to enjoy the island not facebook all day LOL Renting a car was great and we explored the island from top to bottom! Best way to do it, saw so much and met wonderful locals!
We would stay again but would love this gem to clean up a bit.

Room Tip: Ocean view room makes the bad things seem dealable

Stayed at the Hotel Santa Fe sometime in November upon check-in you got two breakfast coupons which I regret not using the next morning I got a king size bed with balcony for a good price with an awesome ocean view and a view of the pool which I also regret not trying the room was awesome and the bed was very comfortable the only thing I found wrong in the room was that there was a towel left in the fridge from when housekeeping was cleaning the room they forgot it in there also the fridge was turned off so I had to wait a while for my drinks to get cold I was so thirsty I went down to check the mini mart which closes at around 9 or 10pm would be better it they closed later but found out it was closed earlier then 9pm headed down to The Grille to grab some beers and grub the entertainment was going which was a live band and a DJ playing so that was good over all my experience here was good and I would definitely stay at Hotel Santa Fe again

Room is outdated and front desk people are not very friendly. However, you cannot beat the view. I came by myself and wouldn't need all activities in hotel price so Santa Fe was perfect. Go early for breakfast buffet. I went around 10 am on the first day and there were nothing to eat.

Booked here on way round the world, as had to stay in Guam 1 night.Could not book usual 4 star on Booking.com, as other hotels full for a US Navy meeting, so had to book this one.Glad I did. Rooms basic and hotel a little tired, but at $65 it was clean and

very good value. Right on a little beach, and a tiny infinity pool there also.Safe in room not

working, but replaced within 20 minutes with a new one- good service, and all staff were friendly

and helpful. We liked the evening meal yards from the beach in an open air serving area, and
the food was plentiful USA style.Would have liked to relax for another night or two there, and will return if ever in area again.

Although I shouldn't complain since these accomodations were provided by my employer, and despite the nice location on the beach away from the touristy section, I felt the lack of cleanliness (cockroaches in the bath, hair on the bathroom floor), pay-for-wi-fi (come on... everyone provides free inroom wi-fi nowadays) and overpriced but average food from the restaurant were a deal breaker. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Don't book a room on the side overlooking the restaurant- loud live music until after midnight was disruptive to sleep.
