This was the first beach we went to. Water is so pretty. Sandy beach. Life guard, bathrooms, and showers.

Great waves! Only open on Sundays since it's actually part of the Air Force Base. You should bring a picnic and spend the day. Don't miss it.

Are so serene on this side of the island!! Every morning at 6AM we go for a four mile walk and the sun rise from the ocean reflects and it is just beautiful!! A must do when in Hawaii!!

Enjoy a picnic lunch and enjoy the warm water at this beach. Remember you are on the Windward side of the island, so it may be a little windy. But you have a great view of Rabbit Island.

We stayed here while visiting our military family living in Hawaii. It takes a few hours to get used to the calm, accept the renewal of senses. We always have so much to do when we're in Hawaii, but this is the place to chill, breathe, read, and just let yourself fall in love with the best things about Hawaii. You have to be military to use the campgrounds, cabins, store, etc., but the beach is open to the public on weekends. We always go to Lanikai beach, which is around the corner from bellows, but bellows is more nature, with no imposing private residences taking up beach entry. It's really, really a great spot to do little to nothing and unwind. If you are in hawaii for the first time, you will want more than this primitive beach, but if you are tired of the rat race of life, this is your spot. They do have activities, but I would like to go back for about four days of reading, relaxing, and listening to the waves put me to sleep. Fabulous, just fabulous!
