Nice, sandy uncrowded beach in Waimanalo. Plenty of shaded parking, picnic tables, bathrooms and the requisite outdoor showers. Open to the general public weekends from 7:00AM to 8:00PM.

I lived in Waimanalo for a year and have to say that personally I think that this is the best beach on Oahu. The waves are big enough for some fun but not so big that they pound you down (as in Sandys beach) mind you they are not surfing waves....maybe boogie boarding for beginners. The sand is white and the beach itself wide enough. There are little tiny moon crabs that pop out of the sand right at the water’s edge that are a blast to watch. Very private as M-F you might see 6 other people on the beach. The area itself might not be the safest for your rental car so take everything out of it and just leave it unlocked. They won’t steal or deface the car....the criminals only want wants inside. It is not a dangerous place for people so don't worry about getting hurt. Be there are little walkways at the end of most streets in the beach lots section to get to the beach or you can park at the actual park. The beach lot section starts at Wailea Street and ends at Aloiloi Street.

The serenity of this beach is like none other on the island. The softness of the sand, the perfect surf for all ages, just wanted to stay here all day.
Bring a chair, a towel, and suntan lotion and you have it all.
