There is a long stairway down to this beach but it is a very fun beach. We loved the waves and seclusion.

If you enjoy laid-back quiet secluded beaches with great snorkeling, this is the place for you. We came apon tnis beach while going on a coastal scenic drive. There were about a dozen cars parked along the highway with stairs leading down to a secluded beach (looks like quite a hike but is quite easy) The area had some of the best snorkeling we've come across in our travels. Sure Black Rock is great but it's also crowded and hard to park at with a hike along the beach to match. Several charter catamarans and boats were in Kokuleia's small harbor letting people snorkel. They were way off shore and did not pose a problem. They did there thing and the people on the beach did theres. Lots of different fish but no sea turtles that we could find. I believe they come here but apparently not on the day of our visit. All in all a great beach for people who hate crowds.
