Our guide book suggested there was little charm or beauty in the village of Wahiawa but these gardens are the hidden gem. They are well laid out and have a variety of plants and trees that are different to any other collections visited. The gardens do not charge an entry fee and so are reliant upon funding from elsewhere. The presentation reflects the limited funding but it does not spoil the experience. Even a person not especially interested in lasts etc will find this interesting and worth the stop. Include this in your itinerary for the north shore visit.
