Stopped at Dole Plantation as part of a day long tour of Oahu. Very interesting and beautiful property with a storefront that sold souvenirs and, of course, pineapples. Had to try the pineapple ice cream. It was a bit sweet for our tastes, but it's something you just have to experience. Gave this a four because it was a bit too commercial for me, but a great place to get those souvenirs you'd been meaning to get.

We enjoy this place when we have the grandkids. We spend a lot of the summers on Oahu and the girls like to go and get pineapple ice cream. We also like to watch the tourists. They are some interesting attractions - the maze, the railroad, and the gardens, so we have a good time seeing this colorful place. There are also a lot of tourist items and I especially like the historic posters (made into T-shirts) from the early pineapple days. We get a great cup of coffee and sit on the porch while the girls run the maze.

This is a fun place to visit if your group includes children. While I would not recommend it for adults, we did see older and younger adults without children who seemed to be enjoying themselves. The maze is a lot of fun and can consume a lot of time. For us, it was the highlight. The train ride is enjoyable. The shop is an expensive gift shop but anyone who visits just for the shop has not done their homework in terms of seeing what is offered at the Dole Plantation. There are very nice picnic tables so it is easy to economize and bring your own lunch. If you are on a tight budget, I would not come here, but if you have some economic leeway and have children with you, it is worth a stop.

It's just a giant store that sells there products at a inflated price. Come up, I can buy the same Dole products at home for 1/2 the cost. Biggest draw it the maze, which they charge to enter.

Beautiful grounds, but very touristy, and extremely overpriced. If your looking to pickup some treats for back home, visit the airport gift shops where you can buy the same pineapples to carry home with you for nearly half the cost. I visited as part of an island tour, and because of that I enjoyed it. I wouldn't reccomend it as a main attraction on your itinerary though.
