Buffet was nicely presented, well tended and organized efficiently .We were very apprehensive when we saw the many. many tables of hungry guests- and hungry children, but were quite pleased that the crowd was quickly absorbed. It was not a mob scene in the buffet line nor did we have a queue. We all agreed the hot shredded pork was excellent. Buffet had several offerings, including salmon in a teriyaki or ginger glaze, salad and green beans..New foods included poke, poi, and lavender-tinted poi parker house rolls, Dessert buffet featured coconut cake, chocolate cake,sugar-free apple pie and bread pudding. Beverages include Hawaiian punch, water, ice cream smoothies, soft drinks and coffee; no alcohol since this park is run by BYU and is very family-friendly.

I gave this luau 4 stars based on the local favorite food. The kaluha pork was good along with the salmon and poke fish. The entertainment I couldn't tell you about, couldn't see most of it from our seat or was to busy stuffing my face. Cheaper than the luau at the Hilton. We head there tmrw so ill let you know how it was. The regular food was just regular.

The food was good Hawaiian fare. Like all the others, they do the pig thing. Lots of fruit. Too much poy. If you've seen one luau, you've seen plenty of luau, but the Polynesian Cultural Center offers so very much that is both entertaining and educational, it is almost a rite of passage to do this one.

Contrasted with the wonderful HA Breath of Life Show at the PCC, the Alii Luau was laughable. After offering us an expensive photograph upon entry to the luau, we were then shepherded to our seats and offered to buy a "special" $10 non-alcoholic drink.

The luau was hosted by an emcee so cheesy that my wife and I started referring to him as "Corny Collins" from Hairspray, and he was basically a cornier version of Mario Lopez.

The food was mediocre and uninspiring, and the performance itself was ok but again compared to HA, it was laughably poor. Do yourself a favor and skip the PCC during the day and skip the Alii Luau, and just attend the HA show. It is amazingly well done and visually stunning, and there's no reason to waste your money and time on the PCC's other mediocre offerings. Spend the day enjoying the gorgeous north shore of Oahu and come to the HA show at 7:30 p.m.
