“Outragged--owners have no integrity”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

This organization cannot be trusted. In early February, 2013, we booked 2 villas for 2 nights for 10 people for December 24 and 25. We did this by phone with a Tiki Moon representative. The reservation was confirmed by email for 2 nights and we paid a deposit of $686. After keeping our money for 5 months, they called and cancelled our reservations because we would not stay 4 nights.

At the time of our booking, there was no 4 night minimum on their internet or by phone. The clerk was eager to take our booking. We feel that they should have stood behind their word. It left us scrambling to cover this time frame for 10 people and very disappointed. We asked to talk to an owner and we were told that we could take it up with the board of directors at the annual meeting.

We stayed 2 nights after a Hawaiian cruise and used it as a base to explore the North Shore area beaches. Right next to a nice beach and right across the street from the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was fairly expensive but price was cheaper than staying in a resort. We had stayed close to Waikiki Beach pre-cruise and was very glad to stay in a quieter part of Oahu post-cruise. Washer/dryer, outdoor showers, beach chairs, boogie boards, kitchenette, great shower, and comfortable bed would make this a great base for couples or families.

Right next to a beautiful beach, and the Polynesian Cultural Centre. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in Hawai'i. The people who own the place are very nice and can direct you to some good restaurants and locations. Overall a great place to stay if its your first time on O'ahu. Aloha Oe'!

My wife and I enjoyed staying here for 2 weeks in July 2012. It was a perfect location! Out of the busy city area, right on the beach, across the street from the Polynesian Cultural Center, and close to so many other wonderful locations to see on the eastern side or Oahu! We arrived at night and even then it was stunning with the lighting and the beautiful beach in the moonlight was very alluring and dream-like. We stayed in two different rooms and both were spectacular. The owners and operators were right on the premises and were helpful with recommendations and amenities, as well as being fantastic people! We will definitely be coming again when ever we can!

We wanted a North Shore base that was right on the beach - and Tiki Moon's Ocean Breeze was exactly what we'd hoped. Six steps across the patio, six steps down the stairs, and another six steps across the sand gets you into the water.

Ray and Azlina were wonderfully friendly and helpful, during e-mail planning and in person.

We enjoyed the immediate presence of the Polynesian Cultural Center, the kilometer or more of lovely clean beach, the snorkeling right out front of the Villas (gentle waves, not roaring breakers) and the reef-protected Bathtub Beach just south of us (would be perfect for anyone with small kids, or ocean nervousness). The grounds are gorgeous, the interior of our suite was stunning, and maintenance/improvement of the site is obviously a high priority (though I'm not sure improvement is possible when it comes to the landscaping!). The air-conditioner in the bedroom was truly appreciated (and even more so later on, when we learned our Big Island rental only had fans). Groceries are only a five-minute walk away.

The one regret we have is that we didn't take more time to just 'be' while we were here. Make fewer plans, and enjoy more relaxation at Tiki Moon Villas - the whole place is perfect for it.

Nowhere on Oahu is more than an hour and a half away (that's going back to Honolulu and then up the west coast to Waianae), and no matter which direction you take, the trip will be stunning. Cruise north and west - stop at Fumi's Shrimp (the shack or the truck) in Kahuku for lunch, then a bit later on duck into the Waimea Valley botanical garden - glorious! Beaches abound on both coasts, and the tunnels through the mountains between Honolulu and the east coast are wonderful fun - find Pali Lookout for the amazing view. Tiki Moon Villas puts you in exactly the right place to explore in any direction, and still not be far from home.

Room Tip: Ocean Breeze, or the other 'Ocean' suite, are the two facing the beach - the other units are...

We had such a great time here! We would recommend it to anyone looking for an Oahu family beach vacation. The beach is great. The Polynesian Cultural Center is across the street. Grocery stores are nearby, as is the Turtle Bay Resort for eating out. The owners were awesome!

I'm typing this while sitting in my room at the Tiki Moon.
We booked this because of its proximity to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It's literally right across the street! To be honest, it's more expensive than it should be if it were anywhere else considering it's not exactly new looking. But I researched the area and everything is expensive here. At least you don't have to pay the $8 parking for the PCC when you stay here. McDonald's is also across the street, so you can walk over there in the morning for a quick breakfast.
They let us into our room early and allowed some flexibility when we leave this morning, so that's appreciated as well. We didn't have the extra linens we neede for one of our children, but a quick call to Ray took care of that.
I was expecting a TIki Moon sign out front to look for when we arrived, but didn't see one, so make sure you follow the street numbers. There is no "reception" area. They email you the code to the lock on your unit.
As I said, we wanted something close to the PCC, and you can't get any closer than this.
