We dined at Monkeypod two nights in a row. Both times we sat outdoors and enjoyed the clouds reflecting the sunset. The proximity of the seating to the road is not an issue as the live entertainment played throughout most of our meal. The food on both occasions was well prepared and the offerings were sufficient to meet a variety of tastes (vegetarians to carnivores). The salads were fresh and crisp, (portions could have been a little bigger). The pizzas were very tasty and the choices had some local flavorings. The Macadamia Crusted Mahi Mahi was rich and well prepared. Desert was the highlight with our daughter raving about the chocolate creme pie. The only noticeable issue was that service from the bar was slow at times (15 minutess to get a second drink with dinner) and there were periods of inattention from the staff supporting our waiters (both of who were very helpful and professional on both nights). Happy Hour is a recommended option as appetizers, pizza, and some drinks were half-off. The wait can get longer as the proximity to the resorts brings a lot of guests with the same meal time in mind.
