My family has been going to Ko Olina for three years now and this place is simply amazing. It is a nice little drive from the tourist filled Waikiki. The staff is very friendly and they make sure your stay is second to none. There are furnished rooms with a full kitchen (perfect to save on food costs), large rooms and a large balcony (perfect for that mid-afternoon nap). There are large areas of beaches that exemplify Hawaii at its finist. There is a very nice golf course and driving range right across the street as well.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the golf course are much cheaper and are just as nice in my opinion.

We had the best time here. It was beautiful. We could have just hung out here for a week and been very happy. Of course, we didn't. We only spent one day here and otherwise toured the island. You need to get a car since I hear it is $90-120 each way by taxi to get here. We drove everywhere, found many local hangouts and lots of great cultural stuff. Lots of snorkeling and sailing too. What a trip. It was really nice to come home each night to such a lovely place. Lots of turtles in lagoon #2. Nice sunsets. Longboard's has good happy hour food and fun drinks but the drink prices are more like regular prices during happy hour, scary prices otherwise. There are bbqs too and a safeway nearby. Costco too. Best place to get gas... Don't believe the map on your iphone, you cannot drive through the golf course to H1. The road is closed. Highway 78 is really 201 when you are going east on the iphone map too. Don't choose H3 (the exit on the left) if you are heading to Waikiki or you will go a very pretty half hour out of your way. :-)

Room Tip: Higher is better. Ask to not be over the parking. Poolside is nice.

This is the second year my family has stayed at Marriott's KOBC. This is the one place I go where I can relax completely even with four kids. We rented a two bed two bath villa with 1200 sf of space. It's furnished like you'd expect from Marriott with three HD televisions, comfortable beds and quality appointments. Full kitchen helps cut down on food expenses (there's a Costco and Safeway in Kapolei). Two sleeper couches allow the unit to sleep eight, but six is more comfortable.

There are pools and hot tubs scattered throughout the property and the lagoon is always calm and safe for small children. The grounds are exquisitely manicured with beautiful plants and trees.

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The service really makes this property stand out.

Ko Olina is way more laid back than Waikiki and we find that once we get there we don't want to leave.

If you like to be on Oahu and not be in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, this is a great alternative. A top notch hotel that doubles as timeshare condos. Beaches are lagoons, which is great for the little ones, a safe place to go in the ocean, no waves for the adventurous boogie boarders though. Nice pools with water slide features, cooled by the shade of the hotels, which is nice when you need to get out of the sun. The golf course is decent, but over priced. Min $169. Recommend you get the Hawaii Golf Card and play the course about 3 miles away for $ 50-70. They are decent. Free wifi, nice to send pictures home, remodeled hotel roms, soft beds, a very nice comfortable room.

Room Tip: Good place for the 2-10 age children, Older kids may want bit more.

This was my first time staying at a Marriott resort, and it was worth it. The condo was clean and stately. The pools were beautiful and exotic and the lagoons are great for swimming and snorkeling! Chucks Seafood and Steaks was outstanding, and so was the Paradise Cove luau. Would defiantly return! Only downside was the view we had. We had to view the harbor and an empty field...not the view i imagined but other then that it was great!

Room Tip: Ask for one with an ocean view instead of a harbor view. Its worth it!

I stayed in the one king bed villa with full kitchen, washer/dryer and a huge bathroom with a sunken tub and large separate shower also a balcony you can relax on. You can't get more in the vacation mode then this place. The pools were huge and had tunnels and waterfalls. The beach lagoons were beautiful and relaxing. If you can get in this place it is great for the family and you don't want to check out. Plenty of stores close by if you want to stock up on goods and you can even use the grill stations on the resort to cook up some food. I hope I can make it back to this place someday it was spectacular.

Lots of pools, lots of hot tubs, a gorgeous lagoon and great grounds. Ko olina is way more laid back than waikiki, and the lagoons are great for swimming and snorkeling. would go back in a second. Longboards restaurant has a beautiful view of the sunset but the meals are expensive and only ok.
