Kolohe translated from Hawaiian means "rascal". Yes....it's true, those rascals behind the bar live up to their reputation! I mean this in the nicest way, of course. Like most visitors, you have to sip a mai tai while in the islands. Try a blended mai tai , or two, for a unforgettable drink experience. They go down way too easy! The food is average here, but it's the only game in town at the Marriott Ko Olina resort. Can't beat the views of the lagoons and ocean beyond the reef....

We did a long walk that 1st morning after arriving at Disney's Aulani. We walked toward the Marriott Ko Olina and then reversed ourselves and headed to the Ko Olina marina. After that 2 mile walk, we were hungry. We had spied Longboards on our way to the marina, so on the way back we stopped for their buffet. It had a great omelet area, with quite a few proteins in the form of Hawaiian sausage, ham & bacon. There was also a good supply of cooked eggs, greens, potatoes and lots of sliced fresh fruit & juices. The sweet breads were too numerous to mention. The meal ran $14, which was a bargain compared to Disney. It was a great meal that held us til supper.

Made a drive out here to Ko Olina to have a nice meal and dress up a little. Had a nice meal- very yummy. Hit happy hour so we had a few drinks and stayed longer than we thought we would. They had very limited dessert menu which was sad because they had a lovely live music show going on and we would have gone on noshing just to enjoy the music. We did not have to order from the dinner menu but saw it- much more expensive. Happy hour was the way to go- good food and drink, song and sunset!!

Was just at Ko Olina from 3 to 12 Dec 2012. The food at Longboards was superb. The frozen Mai Tai is out of this world. Better make sure you're walking back to the villa.

Food was average, the drinks were great! Only issue was when we were there a few construction workers from the Disney resort were utilizing the bar space and they were innapropriate at times.
