This resort was gorgeous, Disney did not spare any expenses while designing it. Class act, lots of activities, friendly staff, very helpful. Do not eat on property, very overpriced, $35- $50 breakfast/dinner buffet. I would recommend bringing food/snacks and eat dinner off property. There is a plaza within walking distance with options for Italian, Mexican, Korean BBQ, and a grocery store with groceries, prepackaged meals, liquor souvenirs etc. Drinks are overpriced in property $13+ I would buy liquor to drink in your room and purchase the specialty cups $19.99 for unlimited soda, coffee, tea etc during stay.

We were not all impressed with this resort. At a reported $1000 a night the physical and environmental layout did not deliver. With a toddler along this place was crowded, noisy and dirty. Pigeons were everywhere in the outdoor cafe. We were happy to leave after dropping $80 for a less than stellar meal. Not ever going back and grateful it was only lunch.

We had a blast staying here. From the moment we checked in to the time we left, the experience was great. I've never had an easier time staying at a hotel with my young child. Aulani made vacationing as a family a really easy experience AND a fun one. It's been 8 months since our trip (we are planning another one next month), and my daughter is STILL talking about it to anyone who will listen. The pools are spectacular and seating was not a problem when we were there in February. Choosing a one bedroom or larger gets you a kitchen area--this will help cut down on food costs. The restaurants in the resort and surrounding it are pricey. We ate all meals except dinner in our room (cooking, etc.)It was definitely hard to leave and check out. Would highly recommend.

My family and I stayed here in May 2016 in a pool view suit on the 17 floor. It was incredible!! The rooms were beautiful and had a very spacious lay out. The kitchen was wonderful and well stocked with appliances. The beds were comfy and the toiletries were from the Aulani spa! The views were incredible from our room and the overall atmosphere was top notch. We didn't visit the ama ama restaurant but did visit many of the poolside eateries. The $19 pizza was hugggeeeeeeeee and we ate this one night on the beach. The pools were fantastic and very cleaned. The check-in staff were very nice but the lifeguards and waitresses were average. The drinks are reasonably priced for a resort and we weren't bothered by any construction. A short walk across the road leads you to an small grocery which comes with a price tag but good for some snacks. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely be back!!

We had a one bedroom condo on the 11th floor -- which qualifies it as "ocean view". We were over the pools and could see the ocean, the lagoon and sunsets. Our room was really fun as there were hidden Mickeys everywhere and it was just wonderfully clean and spacious. We would daily go out and go from pool to pool, jacuzzi to jacuzzi, and also swim in the lagoon. The lazy river was great. We only found 3 little faults with the resort: 1) we had bought some great Hawaii coffees and there was a Mr. Coffee in the room, but the resort did not have coffee filters to supply! They tried to make us buy their awful coffee for $3 a pack. 2) We ate dinner in the room a couple of nights since we had a full kitchen, but there were no salt and pepper shakers there. Every timeshare/condo we have stayed in has had filters and shakers. 3) If you were out to the pools and spas, there was no place to leave your towels, etc since all of the chairs were taken, and if you left your things unattended for 1 hour, they would pick them up. They should have had little cubbies to just put your things down as you moved from pool to pool, etc.

Room tip: Ocean view is the best. Pool/Garden view puts you really low (no higher than 5th floor)
