We wanted the family to experience a luau for their first trip to Hawaii so I check out a lot of the reviews. I checked out both paradise cove and Fia Fia because they are both close to where we stayed. We picked the Fia Fia show because it was a more intimate atmosphere (looked like about half the number of guests as paradise cove). We were not disappointed. They gave everyone shell necklaces as we went in, and I also bought a lei for my wife. It is held right by the beach and we enjoyed a great sunset as things were getting started. I let them know with our reservation that my wife needs a gluten-free diet and they made up a special gluten-free plate of food for her that they delivered to the table. They even got her some ice cream for desert when I pointed out that the buffet deserts were all cakes. The show itself was great! It was great to see the traditional dancing, and the fire dancers were incredible! It is a bit pricey, but worth the cost. The chief was great. A few of the jokes had some innuendo to them, but nothing overt enough to concern families attending the show together.
