We used our Go Ohau card for admission, we arrived when it opened and stayed the day. The Go Ohau card also gives you body boarding so that was a nice inclusion. You had to pay for parking, Pay for locker rental but the lockers are available to you for the full day. Absolutely no outside food or fluids other then water are allowed and they do check, they had taken a pile of food away from people ahead of us. There is plenty of shaded areas as well as sunny spots. Lots to do for all ages. We all enjoyed ourselves. Attractions open and close as certain times so be aware of what slides you want to go on ahead of time.

I don’t normally do this but I feel incredibly ripped off.. I am currently sitting buy the pool which has been shutdown due to the fact that you need to pay $10 for a bodyboard to go on terrible waves, the whole park seems very run down with the most board looking staff patrolling it. We did every ride in the park in under 40mins with only two having a little level of thrill and now am just sitting wishing our bus would hurry up and take us away. I understand that this park is not an adults swim park only but you would be lucky if it entertains a 10 year old for more than an hour. In regarded to food, the fact that you cant take anything in with you including water so that we have to pay for the over priced terrible fryed food is crazy. Considering you have to pay $50 to enter on the base package + transfers to get there seem insane! The only plus to the day is that there were no lines which I guess is because no body wants to come and get ripped off like we did.
Regards from some very un happy New Zealand costumers.

Many of the rides were not open - they would staff certain slides and then close those and open other slides. Closed the wave pool for some unknown reason - there were heaps of people out enjoying the water and we were all told to get out and they closed the pool for a while. Some very, very rude and unreasonable staff at the slides. One woman just sat there at the top of the slide, smoking (non-smoking venue) and eating her lunch while not allowing customers on her slide with certain coloured inflatables - true - we could use the red rings, but not the green (exactly the same brand ring, just wrong colour!). She was telling people they couldn't ride because of this but what she was saying was unintelligible due to poor English, mumbling, her mouth being full of lunch and cigarette, and the madness of the rule. Woman manning the pool at the bottom of the slides was completely out of line - anyone who didn't immediately vacate the pool after a slide (even if you were waiting for your young kids coming down behind you) copped the whistle and her pointed finger and possibly verbal abuse. Really, they need to chill. Slides and changerooms were tired. Food was gross and we weren't allowed to bring anything in. The lazy river was the most boring I've ever experienced - it was dirty with plastic and rubbish in it, painfully slow, nothing to see as you went around and too many staff "lifesavers" on it. I think there were strategically placed to stop people climbing out and finding something better to do. Honestly this whole place needs a rethink.
