A real Japanese Buddhist Temple that is absolutely breath taking. Lots of ground to explore as well.

It is all the way in the back. Beautiful setting. Kids enjoyed ringing the bell and feeding the fish. But the ponds are empty. Was free to get to and $8 to enter. Well worth it for party of 4.

This is an actual Buddhist temple. There are people that come and do their meditations in front of the 9 foot tall Buddha inside the temple. The structure of the temple is amazing! Also, the plants and the trees are just breathtaking. They truly take care of this place. There is a $3 fee, but it is cheap for the actual experienc of this place.

What a place. From the moment you approach the facility, you feel the pure calm that is embodied in this place. The architecture is impressive. The grounds are very nice and the setting is a bit of paradise. The surrounding memorial park is just beautiful. Inside the temple is a great statue that was very impressive. You gain a true sense of peace here if you allow it. There isn't much to "do" here, you just "are" here. Marvelous stop.

Great place to go visit if you'd like to see a calm and scenic part of Oahu. It's only $3 to get in. The views and history of the temple are neat. You can even pack a lunch and eat there. Great photo opportunity. It's peaceful, I highly recommend this if you want a break from the crazy Waikiki crowds.
