We always enjoy lunch at Zia's. We eat the 'catch of the day' fish and sometimes the salads which are both very good. We have had the pasta too, which is good. My wife loves the special ice tea and the grandkids love the kids lunch, usually mac and cheese. We always take a walk behind the restaurant to look at the fish and rare birds in the Hamakua Marsh, part of an 830 acre wetland complex. Many times we see 'auku'u (black-crowned night herons), ae'o (Hawaiian stilt) and the 'alae 'ula (Hawaiian moorhen) which are endangered and rare but sometimes walk into the outdoor sitting area. Come here to enjoy food and nature.
