We have been here several times over the past 5 years when on vacation in Hawai'i. No trip to Kailua, (or Oahu) would be complete without one visit here for breakfast. There is a wide menu, very reasonable priced and very friendly service. We prefer to sit inside. Note there is usually a wait, and the longest waits are on weekends - plenty of locals here. My best suggestion is to bring some bags to take home what you don't eat, the serves are very generous. Pancakes are a speciality here, and try the coconut syrup!

Great find on on our most recent trip to Hawaii. This restaurant is located in Kailua and serves local comfort food. We found it by accident but it is a popular local place for breakfast and lunch. Kind of hard to find in an office building, no obvious signage. There was a wait when we went there on a weekday at lunchtime so I am sure the weekends are super busy. Worth the trip for the red velvet pancakes drizzled with white chocolate glaze! OMG are they good! One side dish order is enough for two people - my husband ordered them with his omelet instead of the home fries. We both had the Hawaiian omelet which was good, not stellar - made with Kailua pork and lau lau. Two other family members I dined with said there chicken salad sandwiches were great. Will definitely go back if in the area!

Crab cakes eggs benny + red velvet pancakes...need I say more? It's going to be a 30 min. wait to get a table, but it's worth it. Plus, you're in Hawaii...just sit and enjoy the weather.

The guava chiffon pancake was disappointing because all it is a regular pancake with guava sauce - sauce was very good but the pancake was cold and dry. The red velvet pancake was very moist but a little lacking in taste. Our eggs benedict and potatoes were cold. So overall, it was a disappointing first visit. However, our server was excellent - always on top of things, esp. coffee refills.
