We did this hike on the recommendation of a friend who used to be stationed in Hawaii. The views are incredible, and well worth this short hike. Don't let the length of the hike fool you, however, this is very challenging terrain. There are spots were it is a vertical climb and you are holding onto trees and/or ropes for support. It does even out a bit, but this is no Diamond Head. Consider your physical ability with this trail, for sure.
Bring water, good sturdy non-slippery shoes, and a camera. You won't be disappointed.
