My daughter took the tour last year and urged me to try it out this trip. It was a fantastic day. I saw whales, Honu, and met some terrific people including John, our guide and Bob, the owner. This is a great, well-run outfit that deserves our support.
Check it out!

...ocean kayak in the blue waters of Hawaii in the crater of a former volcano, learn the tricks of landing a kayak with waves surging in from your left and right, rock climb on lava rock as you experience indigenous birds and water life that call Mokulua "home", jump off the rocks into a cool pool of bubbling waters, be greeted by turtles that are passing through as you kayak to one of the worlds most beautiful beaches and swim with the tropical fish as you snorkel off the beach of Lanikai.

GREAT day thanks to some fantastic guides (Andrew and John), that stress safety first! We are staying on the North Shore and made the trek East to experience the serene waters of Kailua and Lanikai. Worth every second of traffic, wrong turns and yes, sunburn! Originally planned on doing the trip ourselves and then opted to join the guided adventure so we could get the most out of the day. We've kayaked many time before, but being in new territory, we decided to take advantage of what the locals could teach and share with us. We were not disappointed! Thank you!

This ended up being one of our favorite activities, but despite being in fairly good shape, we ended up sore!!

We booked online which nets a 20% discount, go to website listed above. Also read carefully exactly what is included in the tour and what you need to bring. One thing not listed were sunglasses straps, which come in handy if you get in some waves like we did!

Andrew and Chris were our guides. They were great. They helped us get our gear packed up, gave us a paddling lesson, and went over the schedule for the day. Then they loaded the kayaks up onto two trucks... and two customers drove them over to the water. We did get a discount for driving one truck over, but it is just odd. They really need to get some other system in place. We drove over and the rest of the group rode over in the van. We met up and had to unload and drag the kayaks over (without the guides). When we finished we had to load them up on our own also (again sans guides). It just seems like this is an accident waiting to happen. What if they are not tied down properly?

Moving on, the actual kayaking was great. It was our first time and maybe was a little much, there were WAVES that day!! Chris did have to tow us over one wave, which was greatly appreciated. They did keep a close eye on everyone and helped with landing and taking off quite a bit. We spent time on Moku Nui, hiking to the Queen's Bath - we weren't able to go in as the sea was too turbulant that day, and then hiking to another beach for a picnic lunch.

After lunch we kayaked to another beach where we could snorkel, before finally heading back to the canal and packing up the kayaks.

Andrew took pictures he emailed to us a few weeks later. And there also was a shower available if absolutely needed. One couple was between hotel and cruise ship so that came in handy for them.

We made it back alive!!!! What an awesome adverture yesterday, but not for the faint of heart.
Our tour guide Jordan, made the first time experience of Kyaking seem so
easy for us seniors. A very friendly, helpful and attentive guide. We were fortunate to
have excellent weather for our tour, fairly calm waters and sunny skies made for beautiful pictures. Jordan gave us a tour around the lava rock peaks to the Queens Bath where the younger crowd enjoyed climbing and jumping into the foamy swirling waters. Jordon's knowledge
about the islands and the seabird santuary on Mooku'lau island made for interesting conversation. All and all, an excellent tour and guide. Thank you Jordan

We took the 6-hr guided tour with Twogood Kayaks and it was awesome! We had scheduled the tour on a Wednesday, but they called us up in advance and asked us to reschedule as the weather was bad that day. This was very good on their part. Since this was our first stint with Kayaks, we would have had a hard time kayaking in bad weather! Our tour guide was Andrew, who was very friendly and helpful. He taught us how to use the Kayaks, showed us some cool spots on the island and even picked out some sea urchins while we were enjoying the island. On the way back, we got see many sea turtles as well! All in all, it was one of the highlights of our trip!
