Soft sand, calm waters and beautiful views. Perfect beach without the crowds. Easy access and good amount of parking a rare commodity in Oahu.

This is my favorite place in Oahu, so far waves are small so it feels safe to swim.

Just be careful from Men on War (kind of jellyfish). If you see them on beach then maybe it’s not a good day to get in the water.

Not too crowded so it’s great.

We rented a unit right across the street and loved the location because of the easy access to the beach and park. We took morning walks and always met someone who was friendly and from the area. Great vacation spot that was uncrowded, uncommercial, and clean!

Nice, calm waters. Beautiful soft sand. Great beach to visit if you want to escape the crowds and traffic of Waikiki. Showers and restrooms also available. What more do you need?

We did not have a car for our weeks stay in Honolulu. No problem. Took advantage of the public transportation which was reliable, clean and convenient. Took the bus to Kailua to find this pristine beach, free of crowds. Picked up lunch at a local grocery store and plopped our chairs on the beach for a day of relaxing. The bus ride took about an hour, and you could probably have driven in half the time.

Wonderful beach with lots of natural shady areas. It is a little windy but the wind feels great on a hot day. Good place to watch kite surfing.

We had a great time relaxing on the beach and enjoying the wind surfers. Plenty of space and clean beach. If you go to Oahu - you need to go to this beach!

What a beautiful beach. Kite surfers all the time. What fun to watch! Beautiful sand, public restrooms, food within walking distance. A+++

This was our least favorite beach we stopped at during our week on Oahu. The beach was a little dirtier than the rest and the water was not very clear. It was fun to try and catch the little crabs on the beach and it was not really busy at the time we were there. Lots of little jellyfish washed up on shore here as well.

IMO this is one of the best (if not THE BEST) beach on Oahu. It has it all - blue water with some fun waves (perfect for boogie boarding for kids), white sand and dramatic, lush mountains on the back. It is also long (for Hawaii standards) so you can take nice walks. Usually windy (great place for kitesurfers) and dog friendly.
