Description: Tita's Grill, Is a family friendly, local Hawaiian style roadside eatery. We are located right off Kamehameha Highway across from Kahuku High School home of the Red Raiders. Drive up, park and order straight from our window. We offer take out, or have a seat on our outdoor picnic tables and eat Ohana style. Make friends, share aloha and enjoy our onolicious food. We are just a humble "hole in the wall" that serves great food, nothing fancy.

“A good place for shrimp”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

Stopped here for a garlic shrimp lunch. Good food, but not my favorite of the shrimp places. Had a very long wait for delivery. Staff were very nice and directed us across the street for a beer-- the lady said you can bring it here as long as you don't dance on the tables.

“Overall an average place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

We tried out Tita's based on the rave reviews on TA. For us, according to our taste buds, it is average.

Tita's serve a large variety of food (including hamburgers and fries), so if you are going with people who don't eat shrimp, they could still find other things to eat.

The portions are huge. We had the shrimp combo -- 6 shrimp plus another meat (we picked kal bi), mac salad, rice and soda for $15 which is very reasonable considering the price of the other shrimp trucks around there.

We love garlic, so we prefer Romy's which use even more garlic on their shrimp/prawns. If you don't like dealing with shrimp heads, then this is a better choice than Romy's, but I love shrimp heads. To me, keeping the shrimp heads on during cooking preserve the flavor of the shrimp better. For us, there are not enough of the garlic sauce to go with the rice.

I am used to kal bi that is a little sweeter. Not that the kal bi is not good, it is just that I like it sweeter.

The mac salad has a little tuna mixed in and reminded my husband of his mom putting tuna in mac salad when he was a kid.

We went in the middle of the afternoon so missed the lunch crowd and the food was ready quickly.

There is a screened-in sit down area so it is great if one wants shade and less (to no) flies.

There is an ATM right in front which is helpful since they do not accept credit cards.

The restroom is in the back if you would like to wash your hands.

I was put off by a young guy who was sitting there at one of the tables on the premise hitting my husband up for $2 to buy an energy drink.

“Best garlic shrimp & Best atmosphere on the North Shore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

We loved the garlic shrimp. We shared a large picnic table with people from Sweden, Alaska and
many locals. Enjoying the wonderful food. Junior, the owner brought out a large chocolate cake and shared it with everyone. You cannot find a better place on the Island. Always filled with wonderful people. Mahalo, to Junior Almira and the whole Ah You family
