Off shore turbulence created cloudy water - but snorkeling I saw a lot of pretty fishies. It was fun. Jeff very attentive to guests. We spent the whole day on the bay beach.

This is a nice little beach right in front of their hotel and lunch place so it's easy to pick up a mai tai

This is a review for Kuilima Cove which is on the right side of the hotel and where the Ocean Villas are located. It's the beach where Ola's Restaurant is located. Turtle Bay is actually on the left side of the hotel (pool side) and is used for surfing. Anyway, we were staying in the Ocean Villas and had this beautiful beach right at our back door. The beach is semi-wide with nice deep sand. There is a grassy area with trees where some people choose to camp out. As the cove is pretty protected by a reef the water is usually calm. It's a great place to bring children and not have to worry about them so much. The bottom is mostly sand until you get further out into the middle of the cove. As others have noted public restrooms are available as well as a snack bar. We have spent many enjoyable and quiet hours sitting in our chairs on this beach. It was also a nice place to practice snorkeling again. There are some fish - more out by the wall. From here we graduated to Shark's Cove, but I'm glad we snorkeled in this calm cove first.

The staff were very helpful - we're from Albuquerque NM and had no clue what we were doing. My kids had never seen the ocean before! We had a blast and spent all day at the beach snorkeling. My kids and I saw so many fish and the ocean was clear and beautiful. The beach is clean, the staff is friendly, and there's a little restaurant right there for lunch or snacks. There's a small fee to rent the gear - that's the only fee involved.

The nice thing about this beach is there is a bathroom and restaurant right there. There are often quite a few families there -- most are guests of the hotel, however there is a lot of room to spread out. We had some decent snorkeling there the second time we tried it. The first time it was far too cloudy. At certain times during the year there are a lot of jelly fish and swimming is not recommended -- however we've been there several times and never encountered that issue.
