This would have been a 5-rating except for the lack of a designated parking space (the owner's car was parked there) and the problem noted in the third paragraph.
My husband and I spent two weeks and, for the most part, were pleased with the accommodations. Overall things were clean and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had most of the things we needed.
One thing needs to be fixed, however and that is the sensor on the front porch light. Normally we were in by dark but one night we came in late and the entryway was pitch black. I had my hands full, expecting the light to come on, and was unable to see the last step. Luckily I kept my balance and was not injured. The light did not come on until we were standing directly below it. Ironically the light on the porch of an upstairs unit did come on, which indicated to us that the sensor for our unit was faulty. Since the adjacent unit was unoccupied their light was also off.
We had no problems with ants (never saw any) or other bugs in the unit. I would recommend this condo for anyone wishing to stay in the area. The folks at the office were very helpful and friendly. The kitchen faucet was loose and when we contacted them they sent a maintenance man out and the problem was taken care of quickly.
We have stayed at the Kuilima (Turtle Bay Estates) condos over 10 times since 1981 and continually come back. The availability of grocery shopping and many activities makes it a great vacation spot and we will certainly return again. Best of all, the grounds are well maintained and the landscaping continues to become more beautiful,
