Description: Voted one of Oahu's best by Honolulu Star Advertiser four consecutive years, BANZAI Sushi Bar is truly one of Haleiwa's best kept secrets. Tucked away in a back corner of the North Shore Marketplace, casual fine dinning, outdoor covered seating with Japanese-style seating on Zabuton pillows or conventional tables, diners relax all while watching surf videos and enjoy live local musicians on the weekend. BANZAI uses local organic produce when ever possible and has their very own Hawaiian fish buyer who presents himself on a daily basis at the worlds largest Tuna fish auction here in Honolulu allowing them to serve the freshest fish almost immediately. With one of Hawaii's best Sake selections, any sushi lover and sake connoisseur will be in pure nirvana. Dont miss BANZAI Sushi Bar on your next visit to Oahu's North Shore in Historic Haleiwa Town.

“Expensive but High Quality”

Very high quality sushi and good service at this Haleiwa sushi spot. It is a little bit pricey for basic sushi rolls, but they have a number of very interesting dishes and overall I highly recommend it.

“awesome meal”

Good location at The Marketplace. Both the food and drinks were outstanding. I recommend the cucumber salad. The California roll was the best ever!

“YUMMY”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Great sushi. A bit spendy, but you get to sit outside and if you want to experience the true feel, you can sit on the floor/cushions. I recommend getting a bunch of things and sharing and the desserts are to die for!

“Great sashimi”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

We had a great fix of fresh sashimi here and some cold beer. I also enjoyed the grilled fish, which was excellent and my son had the shrimp was also good. We sat inside and enjoyed watching the surf vids. Certainly pricey, so we didn't order much to start with, but the quality of food was good, so we kept on ordering. Good service and recommendations from cool young surfers.

“Freshly made, cool bar.”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We left dinner a little late and unfortunately all the caravans were closing down by the time we thought about getting some food. Banzai Sushi bar was still open so we got some take away. Freshly made and even though it was busy it didn't take very long to come out. Easily some of the best sushi we've tasted. We kinda regretted not staying to sit at one of the low tables and watch surf videos. Very cool spot.
