I've eaten here twice and both times I came away just feeling like the food was "ok". The portion is nice sized and yes it is peel and eat shrimp, but to me, it wasn't great. Next time I'd like to try one of the other trucks to compare. I ordered the mac salad and it was really on the bland side which was disappointing. Hubby is a vegan so he walked next door and got a few ears of corn. There are a few cute little shopping booths within walking distance so you can eat and then do a little souvenir shopping.

We saw the reviews on trip advisor and it was great! The food is prepared in an old food truck. Apparently so popular that they built a permanent shelter and it attracted other shops and restaurants. The shrimp is reportedly grown locally in Haleiwa. It is served with two scoops of steamed rice, either with garlic butter or with lemon butter or SPICY HOT.

The breeze was nice, the shade was nice, the food was good, the shave ice was good. Everything was wonderful except the restrooms which were not nice.

If you have never tried eating out of a food truck before - you couldn't go far wrong than trying Giovanni's. It is bit of a drive as it is on the North Shore - but it is well worth the journey.
It is plate food lunch - but the garlic shrimp tastes wonderful.
You might worry about things such as Flys - but they were no bother and once you have eaten you just wash your hands and off you go - believe me you won't have a better experience of shrimp than this

We tried the Shrimp Shack, so we decided to try somewhere different. Can pretty much drive anywhere in North Shore and find shrimp trucks, but a local friend suggested here.

My wife had one of the spicy shrimp plates. She loves spicy food, and this was her limit. I had to get a few extra drinks for her. She can't stop raving how good it was and how spicy.

Since I don't tend to like shrimp as much, I had to eat the only other option they had, a garlic hot dog! It was pretty good. They cook it in the scampi sauce, so it actually taste like shrimp.

There is also a smoothie truck next to Giovanni's so you can also buy drinks there. Just right outside the eating area, there are a few tents with souvenirs and goods. So you can eat, and shop some at pretty good prices.

Don't forget to try the one tent's funnel cake with the works. It's a good way to clean out the seafood taste... so you can go back for more shrimp!

We NEVER eat from a food truck (aka "roach coach") but this is a major exception. Giovanni's has amazing shrimp, even if the ambiance is out-of-the-ordinary. The garlic shrimp plate is loaded with large prawns that you peel yourself. There is also a hot shrimp plate, but we didn't try that one. Excellent in every way!
