“Beautiful but expensive.”
Reviewed November 22, 2010

This is a great way to spend the day with family but expensive. Not really much more than an oversized garden with a very cold natural pool.

“Absolutely Beautiful!”
Reviewed November 17, 2010

Waimea Valley is full of beautiful scenery! It's a lovely walk to the end to get to the waterfall, which is gorgeous. Depending on the flow of the fall, you might even be able to swim in the water! We absolutely loved this place!

“Not Worth the $13 fee”
Reviewed September 5, 2010

I am sitting at Oahu airport doing my reviews and this was just very average. You can see great plants all over the island without paying a dime. The waterfall is very small as well. This is more of a place that only true Garden lovers need to see. Your time and money is better spent elsewhere.

“Beautiful hike!”
Reviewed August 29, 2010

We got here late in the day and didn't find it to be too busy or crowded. The real reward is at the end of your mile hike: a beautiful waterfall and large natural freshwater pool, 30 feet deep, perfect for swimming! The lifeguards have water toys and life jackets you can borrow.

If you're not up for the hike, you can get a round-trip ride to the waterfall for only $4, but I recommend walking so you don't miss any of the scenery along the path.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed June 25, 2010

Fun place to take children old enough to swim - you walk thru a beautiful botanical garden on your way to the waterfall. Children 12 and under have to wear a lifejacket - but they provide them free of charge. The pool at the base of the waterfall had lifeguards when we were there. This was a very nice way to spend the afternoon.
