Owner description: Experience Hawaiʻiʻs Living Culture in Waimea Valley, deeply rooted in authentic Hawaiian History, Culture, Spirituality and Tradition. Waimea Valley is a world apart from Waikiki, be in the quiet of nature, beautiful flowers, rare plants, cultural sites and a beautiful waterfall for swimming.

This is a nice botanical gardens to spend a couple hours away from the beach - there are plenty of beautiful flowers and trees and birds. We did have a slight issue with mosquitoes, so bring some bug spray.

The waterfall is OK, but they make you were a life jacket, which is ridiculous. The water isn't that clean (read the signs about leptospirosis) or warm, anyway, so skip the swim. The lifeguards and life jackets ruin the experience.

If you are on the North Shore and are looking to cool off away from the beach for a couple hours, this is a nice relaxing spot for an easy stroll in the woods.

This is a great place to visit if you like nature, trees, and vegetation. The waterfall itself is not that spectacular but the trail to and from the falls made it worth it for us. There are bathroom facilities, a restaurant, a snack shop, and a shopping area here.

It is an easy walk though they do have golf carts available for the elderly.

Many movies were filmed at or near this location, so some of the grounds may look familiar from those. If you've seen Hunger Games:Catching Fire, the grounds and vegetation types will look familiar. This place is also very close to beaches where we saw sea turtles. We enjoyed our visit here. Thanks for reading.

Visited the Park in Dec with my wife and Kids. Expensive to enter but once in the Park it was quite nice. We took it slow and made it to the falls after a 90 min.walk. The falls were smaller then we thought they would be but it was a nice day in nature. One thing we didn't like was the windmills making a horrible sound. Not only are they loud but destroy the natural look of the Park. It's a shame they did this.

Absolutely worth the time and cost. It's gorgeous. Peacocks roam the grounds, you can wander through a small (recreated) Hawaiian village on the way to the waterfall. The walk is the highlight of the trip, so I recommend parking at the entrance and walking back to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is maybe 3 stars - not bad, swimmable, but nothing too special. And be careful of your valuables while swimming - I saw some of the people who were supposed to be tending the valuables discreetly checking bags and jacket pockets while owners were in the pool. It's 100% worth it though, even if you don't swim at all. Gorgeous walk, area, and experience.

Walk through this peaceful valley of beautiful flora and fauna and then swim in the falls. So pretty, lots of birdlife and interesting plants. Well worth a visit. If you go on a Saturday there is a farmers market as well.
