Owner description: Experience Hawaiʻiʻs Living Culture in Waimea Valley, deeply rooted in authentic Hawaiian History, Culture, Spirituality and Tradition. Waimea Valley is a world apart from Waikiki, be in the quiet of nature, beautiful flowers, rare plants, cultural sites and a beautiful waterfall for swimming.

This is a nice easy walk to a waterfall along a nature preserve. Definitely go swimming under the falls. There's a cool reproduction of an ancient Hawaiian settlement and there are lots of birds and beautiful plants. It's 15 dollars but well worth it.

Nice walk to waterfall with a lot of scenery. The trail is paved and most of it is flat until the end. The waterfall was beautiful and I was able to swim to it. Parking can be an issue and there was a bird in the parking lot that was a little aggressive.

Beautiful place - but you'll want to get here early for parking reasons. This place was wonderful and the most beautiful water I have ever been in. Coming from the east coast, to see your feet in the water is unheard of. I could've stayed here all day. The locals that were here, were so friendly and always offered their advice on where and what to do. Great beach!

Thanks to all the reviews, we decided to visit Waimea Valley... what a day. This is a photographer's paradise for amateur and professionals alike. I strongly recommend at least 3 hours to walk all the trails and swim at the falls. A life guard is on duty and will provide life-jackets to anyone wishing to swim. Military and other discounts are available. If you are not able to walk the trail, rides are available for a small fee.

This is a beautiful Botanical Garden with both paved and natural trails. The variety of trees and plants are bountiful. Bring your camera! You'll walk approx 3/4 mile to the waterfall which you will be able to swim in the "pool" below. Life vests are available for the kids. Changing rooms are available at the waterfall, so pack your suit. We spent approximately 2.5 hours enjoying the place. Hours are 9-5, 7 days per week. Military discounts are available and coupons can be found in many of the rental car magazines. There is an optional transport that you can pay a small fee to go on if you unable, or do not want to, walk. Well worth seeing. Afterwards, there are beautiful beaches to enjoy for the rest of your day, not far from the park.
