This was a nice respite on our tour of the island. The greeter welcomed us in a way that made us really feel welcome. it was a bit of a wait for our table, but they have a very nice bar and the prices were reasonable.

The best part of the place is the nice mix of high quality mexican food with exceptional staff. The portions can be too large if you aren't careful. Their single taco servinng is plenty for an average eater. They have a very nice mix of meals and all choices look to be wonderful if they are as good as what we had.

Drinks are good value. The variety and quality of the entrees is well above average.

The service staff takes very good care of you and the restaurant ambience iswonderful.

This is a very nice find and it is part of a very pleasant walking community with nice galleries and their specialty shaved ice. Problem is with the shaved ice as the lines are way too long. Take the time to enjoy the community. You will not be disappointed.

Food: Fresh Mexican food, house made salsa, house made guac. We tried the Carne asada quesadilla and it was excellent, steak, cilantro, onions and guac--flavored to perfection. Great food, it's prices are consistent with this area.
Service: We had a really friendly waiter from San Diego. He never missed a beat even though he had several tables. We didn't catch his name but his hospitality was remembered and if we are up for Mexican we will request him specifically.

We were planning on trying out Opal Thai but found out it was closed. So since Liubuenos was next door we decided to try out. We were pleasantly surprised! Very good salsa and fantastic tasting tacos. Try the carne asada tacos. A bit pricey for tacos but after you taste them you will forget about it.

Yummy. This place is a nice restaurant located in Haleiwa. We had the catch of the day tacos and they were FANTASTIC! The salsa tasted SO fresh and the guac was yummy! We ate here on our last night and were sad that we hadn't tried it sooner. We were staying in the area and could have gone more than once!

I'm not used to paying this much for Mexican (average of $16-$22 per plate) but the food really was excellent. The carnitas tacos were amazingly tasty, and the homemade horchata was spectacular. Service was excellent, but the places was little crowded and noisy. I would come back when I'm not trying to be so thrifty.
