“Best sauteed fish ever”
Reviewed March 19, 2012

Luibueno's Mexican Seafood & Fish Market is the place to go for excellent sauteed fish, fish tacos and two happy hours a day. Service was excellent, food even better.

Reviewed March 15, 2012 via mobile

We were just driving by and saw this place. The food was GREAT!!! Guacamole was FANTASTIC!!!! Like crack couldn't get enough!! Salsa was super good a little kick ...the blackened ahi burrito was AWESOME!!! kitchen open so you can see what's cooking :). The atmosphere was fun service adequate but not over the top.......just all around good.

“Our whole family loved it!”
Reviewed March 11, 2012

We were on North Shore and wanted to eat at a nice sit-down lunch. We picked this place based upon tripadvisor's review and it was awesome! Great margaritas, great chips and salsa and all the meals were delicious. We live on Oahu and we will be back!

“Bad experience”
Reviewed March 8, 2012

This restaurant is over-priced, and the service is not good. We really questioned whether the fish was fresh. We won't go back - and we live close by.

“Second time here, good food/service, but LONG wait for our food”
Reviewed March 6, 2012

Stopped here with three friends on Sunday right around noon. It was crowded but we had the best server. She was on it. Usually, at Mexican restaurants there's either a charge for more chips and salsa or you have to ask for more after you scrape every last bit of salsa out of your container. Our server (wish I got her name), before our salsa container was empty, she brought a new container of salsa and new basket of chips. Same with our drinks...I'd say we were maybe 7/8's done with our drinks and she came to offer another refill. The two not so great things about this visit...the food took REALLY long....as in it took so long we ate 4 baskets of chips and I think we all have at least 2 refills each while waiting for our food. We sat and chatted for a while, then it got to that point where we all looked at each other and commented on how unusually slow it was, but the server was great.

The other downside, we all ordered burritos, entrees meaning with rice and beans on the side. The burritos come with beans inside. Three of us ordered fish burritos and one ordered the chicken burrito. They all looked like bean burritos with a smidge of fish or chicken. The fish burritos were definitely about 3/4s full of beans....if we knew it would have that many beans, we wouldn't have ordered the entree! I ended up scraping out about 1/3 of the beans in my burrito so I could finish it. Not ordering the fish burrito again. Wondering what the fish tacos would have looked like!

Food tasted good, service was great both times we went, but if you don't want to wait for your food, go either when they first open or during an off time during the day.
