We did the boat dive off Waikiki. One of us was certified and one of us had never dove before. Ricardo obviously knew his stuff and was training a young guy to become an instructor, which was nice to see the knowledge being passed down to a new generation. The boat was pretty crowded and the respirators were obviously not being sanitized other than by sea water so if you are worried about COVID, I would not recommend doing this activity. We saw turtles, fish, an octopus and a small white tipped reef shark. We also saw a pod of dophins beside the boat as we went out to the diving spot. It was great fun for cost, although we snorkeled every day after that and saw pretty much all the same things just from the surface.

Confirming previous reviews Ricardo is a highly experienced instructor with an amazing knowledge about the entire ecosystem around the North Shore. I had not been diving since almost 20 years and he made my refresher as smooth and natural as if my last dive had been yesterday. I felt very safe during my two dives where he always had an eye on everyone in our group. The area around Sharks cove offers a vast diversity of tropical fish and the lava tubes are super fun to dive through. Hope to be back for another dive some day. Just awesome!

Ricardo is hands down the best dive master we have ever had. It was my 14 year old daughter and 17 year old sons first time diving since they have been certified. Ricardo took the time to thoroughly explain everything that we would be doing to help us feel comfortable. He stayed with my daughter the entire time to ensure she stayed safe. He was very knowledgeable, safe and helpful! We will only dive with him next time we are in town.
